Goodman.

Otz sounds like a great option too, what don't you like about him?
Oh I like him too. I just like the 3 I mentioned better. Otz would do well at IU, I’m sure. He’s shown the last couple years he’s good developing a roster through the portal.

But in terms of winning ball games…his scorecard has some bogeys on it too.

Alan Huss is a very intriguing mid major coach. His team just clinched a tourney bid.
He is intriguing. State of Indiana background too. Coached with McDermott. I floated a potential out of the box setup with a McDermott/Huss pairing. With McDermott as HC for a few years, handing off to Huss.

Huss’s High Point team is a top 30 offense efficiency wise, and he scores some points…being rated that high in KenPom, playing the lower level D1 schedule, is impressive.

Cignetti is a unicorn and IU hiring him proves even a blind squirrel can find a nut. But the institutional ineptitude remains. It’s not surprising any halfway decent coach wants no part of this job. Time to face reality.
It is not the athletic director's fault that IU isn't that appealing. This job isn't what IU fans think it is. Terrible arena, fans that boo their team and not being relevant for the past quarter century plus doesn't inspire many from outside to wanting this job.

Coaching list:

Beard =appears available. Not a massive (see Drew) salary issue. Perfectly suited for IU basketball.

Just lock him down and get this thing going again.

I mean heck ya like Dre Davis? There's guys like him in Indiana every stinkin' year.

He has no idea who Dolson's guys are. At best he is spreading agent info. None of these people are going to know shit until about 12 hours before the announcement.

Nobody at IU is talking to that twat.
He didn't say he knows who Dolson's guys are. He said these coaches were not interested.

Not offerred yet either. Sometimes when you dangle $5 million dollars in front of someone they become more interested. magic!

At the end of the day IU needs a coach with some cockiness and swag a la Cignetti who is not afraid of a challenge.

I agree. But at this point just making the tournament every year without being on the bubble will likely satisfy IU fans. At the end of the day IU needs a coach with some cockiness and swag a la Cignetti who is not afraid of a challenge.
lol you’re right. It’s a new fanbase

Lots of delusional people out there that think coaches are knocking down Diolson’s door to coach here.
That ship sailed 20 years ago.
There are quality coaches who would take the job that would win big here. But as always, the problem is that our administration doesn't want those coaches.

Nonsense .

I wouldn't say it's 100% nonsense. Maybe the specific reason provided are rubbish, but I do think the the job isn't really as coveted as many here want to imagine.
Facilities are OK but nothing great. Lots of schools have good NIL. Coaches can win anywhere now.
