Goode

1-9 from 3pt line. You have to start thinking about giving his minutes to Tucker.
Yea, bench the guy shooting 40% from three and leading the team in pts per possession that is a magnet for perimeter defenders and is crucial for the poor spacing we have and replace him with a freshman who has one move that no one guards outside the 3 line.. Makes total sense, that's sure to open driving lanes and help spacing.

Did you look at when this was posted? In December Goode wasn’t shooting close to 40% from 3.

He was for his career. And he was still a threat. Which meant he had to be guarded out to the 3 point line. Which opener up that side of the court for drivers and our bigs. He also passed the ball from time to time, something Tucker rarely ever did.

Woody failed Tucker not by not playing him…but by not teaching him how to play the right way so he could play him. Goode was just a better basketball player this year than Tucker was.

Goode is great when he's knocking down 3's. and then he goes cold and can't convert on open looks. I like the guy. I like Leal and Galloway. But when Goode goes cold, having these 3 on the court at the same time usually means IU struggles to score. As for Leal, yes he's a great glue guy and a hustler but that usually means the other 4 on the floor have to pick up the offensive slack. Sometimes they can't do that.

“To all those fans that were booing and are so negative on social media, just don't switch sides,” Goode said. “We will get this thing turned around. We all got the confidence in our teammates, got the confidence in our coaches, so stay on this side when we start being successful again.”

Quote from Goode has not aged well.

So you’re basically saying Goode had better coaching in his 3-4 years at Illinois than Tucker got in HS? Pretty sure they both got pretty lousy coaching this year. 😂

Hard to hold that against him. Kinda gotta say stuff like that when the wheels are starting to fall off the Woody Wagon.

When was this quote from?

Has the NCAA ever ruled in favor of an IU player at any time? I can't remember one but my brains cells are fried most of the time anyway in the memory department. From what I read, him playing games after he was out may be a factor in their decision. Unless he can be taught to play DeVries defense and hit 3's in big games, I'd rather him call it a career and move on.
