And every democrat all over the country and cooler admonished any republican who said he was demented and couldn’t do the job for over two years.
Remember the lead-up to the state of the union address and many people (yes, even Democrats) were really worried (openly, at least on CNN) that Biden would be a complete incoherent disaster?
Biden had a great night, though, for the SOTU address. So much so that the Pubs said "he must be drugged up" and the Dems said "Joe's still got it".
It would have been better for the Dems had he crashed and burned then, rather than months later, in the debate.

I remember a LOT of angst, by Democrats, that he would crash and burn then. But he apparently was having a good day and gave some Dems the confidence that his good days were not that rare. But they really are.
Maybe they'd have gone with Harris anyway had he been a disaster that night and the move to sideline him started sooner. But there would possibly have been more time to have a real competition and Harris might not have won a real competition, if people had been emboldened to seek the position.
If he had performed poorly, the movement to have him step aside would have started earlier.
Honest question Mark. When in your mind were you extremely doubtful about him being mentally fit?
At what point on the Cooler did you post that Biden was mentally unfit? If never, at what point did you decide it was highly likely?
I was not convinced of it until the debate, but if you go back to the state of the Union thread in March, lots of non-Trumper people were discussing it.
