GameDay @ Bloomington just announced...

If Lee picks us not sure what headgear he would use. IU helmet probably? I know people here like (love) the bison, but casual and non-IU fans would be confused.

To me, Vic is persona non grata after his treasonous behavior with the Pacers.

Also, Indiana hosting Gameday, but the game still being broadcast at noon on BTN is the most Indiana thing of all time. It makes it easy to keep the chips on the shoulders.
Students have to leave the set by 11:00 to get a decent seat.

Maryland/Minnesota are on FS1 at 3:30.
Not sure how the picking order goes for the networks but it’s ridiculous that our game is a noon game on BTN and Maryland and Minny are on national tv at 3:30.

Yes, his wife grew up in Bloomington and her father is still a professor at IU, so they visit often.

I thought he had some "professor of practice" gig at IU. BICBW. And no, I'm not confusing him with Robbie Benson.

Other interesting item is if they setup the studio where Big Noon did, or they go somewhere that can fit more people.
I was wondering the same thing. They need to do it somewhere else where more people for it. I was a little late trying to catch the walk, and I could barely get through there walking from the grass lot reserved.

Is there some sort of IU connection?
Eisenberg is an alumnus of the Bloomington Playwrights Project,[130] and has become deeply involved with the city of Bloomington, Indiana, showing support for Indiana University Bloomingtonand donating thousands of dollars to Bloomington's Middle Way House.[131] He lived in the city at one point during the COVID-19 pandemic.[132] He is a fan of the Indiana Pacers basketball team.[133] For an article he wrote for InStyle magazine, he played a game of one-on-one with an Indiana UniversityWomen’s Basketball player, Tyra Buss.[134] He is also a long-time fan of the Indy Thunder beep baseball team and its founder Darnell Booker.

Think Scwarber would be great…..in national spotlight and young enough to be relevant. TJD has season starting, Vic would be my next choice, Isaiah is a little old, could see Cuban since he just did a promo for IU football

Ya but when he steps out, do people automatically know who they are? That’s what ya gotta ask yourself

The time has come to bring him back…he’s not a grad but he was born in B-town:

The one and only…..
David Lee Roth

He’d do it for a bag of reefer. This is Cavanagh’s big chance to shine getting him here.

I would prefer less hype for a road game. Keep it as quiet and uneventful as possible! :)

Here's a list of guest pickers over the years and their picks. Note that pretty much none of them are people that haven't been heard from on the national scene in decades.

Yeah, they absolutely must go with Joe Buck, Mark Cuban or John Mellencamp to capture the national audience. If we put a heavy focus on someone that is local or outdated, it wouldn't provide the draw. A Vic, TJD, Gordon just feels amateurish at this point. If RMK was alive or Randle El was recently playing or became an NFL HOF (household name) then yeah, they would be the no brainer.

I assume it hasn’t been announced yet who it is?
Do they even announce it in advance or is it supposed to be a surprise?
This is uncharted territory for us Hoosier fans,we are learning on the fly.

I’d rather it be Schwarbomb. They voted on it already and it’s supposedly between Cuban, mellencamp and schwarber. Joe buck said it’s not him.

My updated best guess is Joe Buck. He's an ESPN announcer, does MNF, and has been pretty active championing the Hoosiers this year.

Cuban has become a little bit political of late (not judging which side, don't care, just a fact)...otherwise I would still say he's most likely. Guessing they try to stay away from that stuff as much as possible.

4th? ha I wonder who voted? If it was the students, you would think the list would be known. Having someone who calls football at the highest level, already has top end television chops, is obviously known amongst football fans..... you would think Joe Buck would be a HR for GameDay. It would make their day much easier not having to prop their guest up since he would essentially be another professional analyst. ha
