Yes, I have served mostly country churches which have a lot of salt of the Earth types. A couple of the teens said I was a cool preacher today because I was quoting Gangsta Paradise. I think that you are looking through Crimson colored glasses. This is still not a consistently good shooting team, & we have not had one for awhile. Our guards are not nearly consistent enough every night out. Our perimeter defense has way to many bad lapses. See how things look after this next 4-5 game stretch. "Really Ugly" may be right around the corner.

Maybe 6 years is just too long in a program to keep your focus. I thought Race Thompson often looked disinterested his last year and I always thought he was a solid dependable player before that. Galloway and Leal both have lapses that you wouldn't expect from an experienced upperclassmen. Still can't believe how often Galloway leaves his feet with no idea what he's doing with the ball.

OK, maybe 5 years in a program is just too long... I agree on Leal, he and Goode seem to care and communicate with others, which is something this team sorely needs and neither should've really been counted on for such a role, which should come from starters. Leal is just very limited athletically and not helping himself. He should be taking open shots and making FTs at a minimum on offense. Both he and Goode are limited athletically and that accounts for much of their defensive issues. I think both are being asked to do more than they should have with this roster and are way down the list of problems with this team, which starts with coaching, starters and effort.
For what it's worth.... from a pure adult reliable source.... Trey Galloway was at Edgewood High school gym this morning... with a video crew shooting video for some reason. VIdeo Cameras, Pro Lighting, etc, Source said for a "Commercial". At least that's what they were told.

Update: Reliable source got the scoop straight from Trey and actually got a selfie taken with him.
Said it was a Video/Still Shoot from a Clothing Brand that sponsors him and they were using Edgewoods gym to shoot the Promo.

VPM takes a ton of heat here, but I cannot recall one instance where he has resorted to personal insults.
What's your issue here? As long as he's getting to practice and doing what he needs to do academically (5th year senior? Guessing not much), I don't expect them not to have a life. If it's true that he's making 500K, through NIL then I'd assume he's going to have some commitments to keep, such as filming a video or ad. Let me know if he misses practice or some other requirement because of this, and then it matters.
It's much different than it was 20+ years ago, but look around, most players are doing endorsements/commericals, etc... if they can.
Can you prove he's not? I have confidence, even as inept a coach as we have, that the guys are "shooting FTs". This shooting stuff is mental at this point, imo. They at least need to be working with a shooting coach. I know Leary says he tried to reach out to the staff and was shut down, but he is doing that as business and whenever he's talked about it on Coyle's show he is confident he could fix a big chunk of their shooting flaws. I'm not saying we should have run out and hired Todd Leary (although it would make more sense than some of the guys he's hired or paid), but someone should be addressing shooting with these guys. What's Hulls role again?
