Gaetz for AG

Just saw this pic of him from 2021. Definitely some work/weight loss?

There is no weight loss regimen that moves your eyebrows half way up your forehead.

Good point.
Pastor, is part of the reason there is little opposition to Gaetz because from a biblical perspective as long as the woman has started menstruation there is no sin committed? I'm not a religious scholar, so quite curious if in your eyes nothing wrong occured?

There are several reasons why this command was given. First, it is an issue of hygiene thus healthy living. Second, God wanted there to be respect for blood. Judaism had the sacrificial system where blood was sacrificed for sins.

No sin committed in connection with what?

I'm wondering if the Gaetz issue does not bother Republicans because from a biblical perspective as long as the girl is menstruating that means there is no age issue? Thus Gaetz did not commit a sin in their eyes.

I think Pastor Van may have misunderstood my question.

I don't know what Gaetz did or didn't do, but anyone who thinks it's ok for an adult to have sex with a minor is almost as fvcked up and horrible as the person who is actually doing it.

I am not a Christian so I don't know how Pastor Van feels. That's why I'm asking the question. In my mind, to be a Pastor means you are a learned person in the field of theology. I do know there was an emphasis on Christianity this election. Maybe there will be a push to change age of consent laws to align more with the Bible. But I don't know the bibles exact view on the question.

I guess the thing that bothers me most about Gaetz is that Trump could have gotten the same result with a less controversial pick.

I agree that DOJ needs to be completely scorched. Mike Lee or Ted Cruz would revel in the opportunity and they have the bona fides and capability to do it.

During the age most of the books in the Bible were written, adulthood began much earlier than modern times.
I am unaware of any exact views that contribute to a response to this question.

Christianity has not yet come to the fore in elections, as there exists a false perception that Christianity considers elections worldly things to be avoided.
By 2028, we will have 20-30 million additional Christians registered and voting.

Reality is they don’t remember the Trump years. Trump’s approval ratings were in the 30s and low 40s. He was very unpopular.
I thought I read somewhere that he never cracked 50% in popularity at anytime during his first presidency. I feel like when push comes to shove and his unpopular policies earn him some criticism the wheels will come off for him and he’ll start throwing a lot if these people currently around him under the bus.

I don’t think it’s a matter of “if” it’s a matter of “when.”

Gaetz is a sacrificial lamb. Trump will let the Senate Pubs reject him, but they will have to let all the others go through. Then he'll nominate Blanche as AG, which is what he planned on doing all along.

I fully agree with this. As someone who very likely engaged in underage sex and child trafficking, Gaetz should be third-rail toxic.

Unfortunately for one of Jeffrey Epstein’s best friends he’s not.

Wouldn't surprise me if he pushes Gaetz through and gets him.

Oh God. Ted Cruz would have been diabolical.

The wheels of political retribution are spinning at full speed, nothing more than a cynical political vendetta, all about crushing those who would dare to upset the established order.
Reporter Mark Caputo referred to the source of the false allegations, Joel Greenberg, as one of the most corrupt Florida politicians "of all time ". Judge Gregory Presnell stated that Greenberg's actions were "downright evil".
Revenge on a congressman who called out their lucrative stock trades based on insider information was always the goal. Justice was never the goal. Greenberg's coerced accomplice, 'A. B.', was deeply intertwined with Greenberg's criminal undertakings, lying about her age on a sugar daddy website, engaging in acts for money including pornographic content.
The Court, through Judge Presnell, called her essentially 'a prostitute'.
This is the Democrat Party.
Corrupt. Criminal.

Sessions sure worked out well.

Dumbest shit ever 🤣🤣

These appointments are why I’m not worried about the Gaetz nomination. They are the guys who will be in charge of Justice’s day-to-day operations.
