They remember the price of gas, groceries cars, homes, rates etc. That’s why pubs won popular, ec, senate, congress. And they compared trump to Biden/Harris in that regard

As I said, I get the qualms about Hegseth and Gabbard.
I'm actually a little bit intrigued by the Hegseth pick. I honestly think it could end up being a pretty good one. And I get Trump wanting to reward Gabbard for her support -- although I don't know what would've been wrong with VA Secretary or Interior. Still, it's something that I can live with.
But...this? I mean, this can only be described as some kind of a troll appointment. We're talking about a guy who heckled the former Speaker of the House on the floor of the Republican convention like a 3rd grader. "Hey Kevin, what time are you speaking tonight? What time? Oh, you're not? That's right, because you'd get booed off the stage!"

Doesn’t matter. For voting purposes voters were able to compare their lives while Trump was Pres vs. Biden/Harris. And Harris repeatedly said she wouldn’t do anything differently than Biden did. Their lives were much better under Trump financially.

These are the types of policies/laws I would like to see in no particular order. Maybe some refinement and a bit less harsh on some, but the general gist:
1. Raise congressional pay to something like $1 million per year
2. Elected and unelected officials may only own US treasuries. No other investments.
3. Any official advocating for a currency other than USD should be arrested.
4. Congress must balance the budget.
5. Crime laws similar to Singapore.
6. Get corporate $$ out of politics
7. Need 2A to prevent dictatorship. That's why Iran regime is still in power.
8. End birthright citizenship.
9. Anyone who crosses border illegally subject to being shot.
10. Only Canadian or Mexican natives and residents or those with direct flights to US have a right to claim asylum here. All others subject to first safe country rule. A Hindu from India traveling through 10 countries to reach southern border has no grounds for a religious asylum claim here. They immediately go back on first plane to India. If India won't accept them cease relations with them.
11. Legal immigration is a bigger threat to American wages than illegal. End OPT. H1B subject to wages multiple times American average.
12. Free trade. I don't give a crap about size of GDP. Quality is more important than quantity. High wages + cheap crap is what I prefer. On Ag automate, automate, automate, instead of relying on cheap illegal labor.
13. Minimum legal national abortion standard. I don't know how many weeks.
14. Close US bases in Korea and Europe
15. Quit instigating and threatening foreign countries and interfering in their affairs.
16. Folks like Powell, yellen, etc should not be giving 1 million speeches after fed retirement. End revolving door. Same for other governmental personnel. Any trading straight to jail.
17. Any CEO who hires an illegal go straight to jail for 5 years. That'll end illegal immigration in its tracks.
18. English only official language. You should not be able to vote in a foreign language.
19. Means test social security. Raise retirement age. The program is a ponzi scheme. People are not paying in enough and are taking more than they put in. They didn't "pay for it" Same with Medicare. Audit the DoD. Trillions missing in Iraq and Afghanistan. Raise taxes until we have a budget surplus. Start with the top .1% bezos types who pay little to nothing.
20. Bachelors program should only be open to US persons. Only upper graduate programs for foreigners. Give brilliant foreigners an easy pathway to citizenship. Actual Einsteins.
21. Any American arrested abroad traveling to somewhere like Russia we aren't getting you out. Your own fault for traveling there. On the same token, making it illegal to travel to N Korea is no better than communism. You get a warning and if you choose to travel you do so at your own risk.
22. Quit socializing losses and capitalizing gains. SVB I thought Cuban, Sacks, Thiel, etc should have been charged with sedition for attempting to initiate a national bank run if they didn't get their way and get a bailout for being over the 250k limit. Rules of the road were known. There was no systemic risk.
23. On deficit no one gives a crap what they are doing to future generations. All about the here and now. We are borrowing from future to pay today. Pretty ugly if we don't course correct.
