If I’m “reprehensible” for wanting to see credible accusations of child sex trafficking and sex with a minor taken seriously, then I don’t know what to tell you.
If the best you got is “Biden’s DOJ” then you really don’t have anything. It’s mostly Republicans who have been outspoken about Gaetz. And the House Ethics Committee is bipartisan.
It is wild to me that anyone would want Matt Gaetz to serve as AG. Why are you so comfortable with his accusations and becoming AG?

No spines will be stiffened. Trump has a near perfect record in Republican primaries. In fact many of these fine senators would not be sitting if Trump had endorsed their opponents. One would think they would show gratitude and support Trump in manning the team he best feels can get the job done on day 1. Trump ran on going after the deep state with folks like Gaetz leading the charge. Any senator who opposes Gaetz over what Trump's base views as a complete nothingburger risks career suicide. If there is a floor vote I doubt the number is anywhere close to 30 in opposition. I'd be shocked if he wasn't confirmed should it reach the floor. Collins, Mcowski and one more at most. And knowing Gaetz I suspect he won't go down without a fight. Elon will fund their future opponents too. Either get on board with the agenda or time to retire for the nursing home.

Leading Republicans were as outraged as Dems in the days following J6. They didn’t want to convict on impeachment because Trump was already out the door and, as McConnell noted, the remedy was to pursue the matter(s) in court. That’s exactly what Justice did. But that was “extreme?” Ridiculous.
And that last sentence? Stop with the “holier than thou” nonsense.
