Good question. He's probably asking the same question.
I wonder if Trump will leave him, Sidney Powell and Guiliani out to dry or pardon them.

Shorter All4You - I’ll be behind her.Wherever Tulsi ends up, I will throw my hat into the ring to be her undersecretary...
Good. One down, 3 more to go. I'm sure that Romney and Murkowski won't be far behind her.
And I'd be very surprised if Todd Young supports him. Young is a serious, level-headed guy.
Sorry, I was mainly thinking of the Supreme Court when referring to institutions.First of all, I don't agree with the premise -- mainly because you used the term "completely." Is the DOJ politicized? Yes, it is. And I honestly don't think that's anything new.
But Merrick Garland has taken a lot of heat from the left for not acting more forcefully against Trump. That's true, that has happened. Jeff Sessions was asked to resign by then-President Trump for not being more willing to shield him from the Russia investigation. That, also, happened.
The Democratic DOJ just came down hard on a Democratic Senator from New Jersey -- who served for many years with the current POTUS.
So I do not agree with you that all of our institutions are "completely" politicized.
However, even if you were right, do you think the solution to that is Matt Gaetz?
You're a drama queenI have a feeling in 4 years inflation is going to be seen as a minor inconvenience. Some of you are going to explain to your kids how you gave free reign to a would-be tyrant.
Call me a drama queen. But change for the sake of change with no real plan is not going to end well.
Our only hope is some pubs grow some balls.
This is almost certainly the worst cabinet pick that any president-elect has made in the history of the United States.
Ah yes. Then I would suspect John Curtis will oppose him. Curtis is a moderate who was a Dem for a number of years.Romney retired
Which half are you?Come on.... you're describing half the posters on the Cooler.
You guys have the balls to stand up to his worst instincts? I don't think you do.You're a drama queen
Well, Clinton picked Zoe Baird and then Kimba Wood for AG, and both bombed. This is just absolutely grotesque.
I will be contacting Sen. Young and urging him to vote against this nomination. Matt Gaetz is a childish, immature scumbag who has absolutely no business being the top law enforcement officer of the United States.
This is almost certainly the worst cabinet pick that any president-elect has made in the history of the United States. If Trump had any shame at all.....but, of course, he doesn't.
To be frank, does Congress presently exist? The county is governed by executive order and national emergency the last 20 or so odd years. If they allow a recess appointment for this level position then the Senate might as well cease to exist.
You guys really want all democratic guardrails to go away?
Sorry, I was mainly thinking of the Supreme Court when referring to institutions.
I would describe our current plight as follows; one party running on a platform that's broadly unpopular with incoherent marketing. Another party that has turned into a cult of personality. A country that is completely rotting from corruption and insider dealing with a population who views politics as a pure team sport. May as well rip off the bandaid at this point. Gaetz certainly does that.
Oh yeah. It even has the Water Coolerites up in arms. Let’s gogogogo!!An amazing pick. The deep state is on the run.
At this point let it all implode. I'm hoping we go hog wild on tariffs, deport every illegal, tax cuts, gut the IRS, etc.To be frank, does Congress presently exist? The county is governed by executive order and national emergency the last 20 or so odd years.
I’d say you’re seeing push-back here - maybe 19-1 against - and you’ll see it in the senate. You guys have the balls to stand up to his worst instincts? I don't think you do.
I'd be shocked if they opposed the base. TBD.I’d say you’re seeing push-back here - maybe 19-1 against - and you’ll see it in the senate.
You guys were fine with Garland's FBI going after Catholics as domestic terrorists. You guys have the balls to stand up to his worst instincts? I don't think you do.
For our sake I hope you are wrong. But get your popcorn ready. I fully expect Trump to do precisely what he ran on and now he has the experience to bend the government to his will.At this point let it all implode. I'm hoping we go hog wild on tariffs, deport every illegal, tax cuts, gut the IRS, etc.
I want to see record inflation, run away debt, and all these people say wait, what?? Going to be fun.
This has got to be a trolling nomination to cover up for the horrible choices at DNI and DOD.
It's hard to argue you're wrong about that.To be frank, does Congress presently exist? The county is governed by executive order and national emergency the last 20 or so odd years.
Yeah, there have been failed nominations before. But I can't recall anything quite like this.Well, Clinton picked Zoe Baird and then Kimba Wood for AG, and both bombed.
If he gets fairly confirmed then all good. If he is appointed during a recess the good luck to all of us.I’d say you’re seeing push-back here - maybe 19-1 against - and you’ll see it in the senate.
That Gaetz was selected because Jeffrey Epstein is no longer an option?
Seems like a dodge. What does all that have to do with your lack of balls? You guys were fine with Garland's FBI going after Catholics as domestic terrorists.
Don't talk to me about having the balls to stand up to anything. Because I know you don't have any.
Someone's still upset about the results of the election......At this point let it all implode. I'm hoping we go hog wild on tariffs, deport every illegal, tax cuts, gut the IRS, etc.
I want to see record inflation, run away debt, and all these people say wait, what?? Going to be fun.
And likely their underage daughters.Trump will use this to flush out those Republicans who aren't loyal to him. Anyone who doesn't support Gaetz will have a target on his back.
To what effect? I mean, is Donald Trump going to have any sway over Susan Collins? Trump got trounced in Maine, three times. Young isn't going to have any credible primary challengers here, IMO. The new Senator from Utah is expected to be one of the most moderate Rs in the new Senate.Trump will use this to flush out those Republicans who aren't loyal to him. Anyone who doesn't support Gaetz will have a target on his back.
I'm not a historian and you are probably right. What I recall is there was a time when judicial nominees were supported by both parties. To me they should be fact based appointments. If the public knows how they will rule on a specific case before they are appointed that's a problem. I prefer technocrats. What are you saying...that the Supreme Court has only recently become politicized?
I can't speak to how much the court was politicized in the decades between Reconstruction and the Great Depression. But I'm pretty familiar with how political it became in the New Deal era (and beyond, into the Warren Court). There's a lot of squawking about its politicization these days. But that's only because it more or less flipped -- and the people on the wrong side of that flip aren't happy about it.
What did Garland's DoJ find on that? And likely their underage daughters.
I look for Marjorie Taylor Greene to be named Secretary of the Department of JSLs.
Good thing there are no recall elections for federal officials. With Musk and Trump behind an challenger good luck to Collins. But you are right she is a no. Young isn't up till 2029, so he will have to deal with Don Jr and Sr.To what effect? I mean, is Donald Trump going to have any sway over Susan Collins? Trump got trounced in Maine, three times. Young isn't going to have any credible primary challengers here, IMO. The new Senator from Utah is expected to be one of the most moderate Rs in the new Senate.
All they need is 4 to oppose him. And I don't think it'll take long to get that.
I'll be fine either way. If they play somewhat within the usual norms, then fine. It was a fair election so what are going to do.Someone's still upset about the results of the election......
Even if true that has nothing to do with Gaetz being qualified
