Fusion Ignition Confirmed

The NSF and DOE had consistently supported, heavily, fusion research, cleaner fission, hydrogen cells, etc.

It is a myth that there is a government energy monoculture focused on just developing solar and wind tech. Those technologies have simply progressed faster to commercialization and lack the admittedly irrational NIMBY concerns that have unfortunately limited fission reactor deployment.
Three Mile Island and Jane Fonda killed nuclear for two generations. The irony is that Three Mile Island was an example of the built in safeguards actually working (unlike Chernobyl).

Go away. You aren’t funny. You think your snark shows intellect, but you are wrong. You are the drunk who pisses on himself and ruins the neighborhood bar for everybody else.
I don’t know what is wrong with my humor, MTIOTF, but it sure doesn’t cause RA, because I don’t have it. Bite me.

If you don't know we cant help you. Being a constant total dick isn't humor. Were there counselors at Logansport to help you with your obvious problems? Apparently they failed.
Maybe I can help you. First of all I’m not trying to be funny. I’m just having fun. You gotta try it sometime. Might take care of those headaches or whatever it is that’s bothering you.

GOP administrations push drilling. Democratic administrations push wind and solar. Nobody is out front with nukes. Yeah, the government funds research, to a limited extent, but there is zero public education about it as compared with renewables. In fact,Obama doubled down on scary nukes with his Yucca Mountain nonsense. We desperately need a rapid increase in electricity production and nukes are the best and cleanest way to get there.

The Democrats are falling all over themselves about how forward thinking their climate bill is. But when you look at it, all it amounts to is subsidizing more and more ways to use more electricity. A real climate bill would jump start a dozen nuclear energy plants.

Agree, but the reason that doesn't happen is not because Democrats are writing the bill. GOP has the same NIMBY (not on my backyard) nonstarter attitude toward nukes.

Portions of the green movement have actually begun to back nuclear energy. I wish Bernie and others who are vocal would come around.
