It’s a 3 way. Somebody’s going to get f***edHa. What does McNeese State get? Mike Woodson?
Are we sure the McNeese State AD will do that deal? We might have to throw in some NIL money. Might need to make them a strong ass offer.

If they don’t talk to Beard then they aren’t serious about being dominant again.I’m still in the “no f’en way” crowd. Nobody but you are saying this.
Not a way to run a big program. Get the best coach….I think Beard is a unique circumstance. Logically, Dolson has known he was going to be making this move, probably for an over a year at this point. At some point in the last year, he would have ran checks on Beard, and had discussions with Whitten, at least, on Beard. I put the odds on him pursuing Beard without Whitten's prior approval, at less than zero. And I just can't fathom them together deciding to take on the risks, with IU's past and current situations, and Beard's past situation.
He’s not the best. Not a way to run a big program. Get the best coach….
If Beard wants the job and you can't get Brad. Make it happen. Not a way to run a big program. Get the best coach….
Oh yes he is… by farHe’s not the best.
Was SD here for any of that?If I had to place a wager, I'd say CB has never been an option for SD. Too many scars from the Sampson debacle.
I'm out on him.Why are people on Cronin? If he's worth a 16-20M buyout, we're living in the Twilight Zone.
So much has changed with NIL and the portal. That new reality has to drive the coaching search if the goal is to bring IU back. "Recruiting" as we knew it is over. Its now a combo platter year in and year out...the portal, NIL and high school recruiting (which also means NIL). So when it comes to hiring the "best fit"....which candidate has the comprehensive skills that will be necessary to move IU's trajectory up? Xs and Os and charisma are important...but so is vision. Those skills have to complement the resources that are available, and vice versa. IMO....that really narrows the search pool of candidates. Continuity and consistency after the hire is also a factor. We don't need a flash in the pan....which is why significant track record is on the checklist. Dolson has his work cut out for him to find and acquire the "best fit".I’m going to disagree. Not that I know anything, but I don’t think Dolson will disqualify a candidate because it might hurt a few feelings. If Dolson does his research and feels Beard is the best candidate to bring IU back, I think he’ll take that chance. As I’ve said before, I don’t believe it matters who Dolson ends up choosing, some will find something to complain about.
I think the largest majority of IU alumni/fans just want to enjoy watching IU basketball again. I know I do.
To bad it is not a match up with two "all-time classic" uniforms being worn on national tv ... IU could have worn these crappy designed uniforms on February 28th vs Penn State and still caught the Black Month celebration. Too bad IU won't be in the NCAA's ... I'd like to see them wear green and white uniforms for St Patrick's Day since I am Irish. (joke)It is a big night for the BIG just because of what this matchup represents.
Cronin is not a factor.
Yup, IU should be wearing the traditional gear.To bad it is not a match up with two "all-time classic" uniforms being worn on national tv ... UCLA. In St Louis.do you who the 1st win of the last undefeated team came against
IIRC Cronin plays a pack-line defense or something close enough.. and subs like Crean on a green energy drink bender, constantly running players in an out. We've had enough of that stupid outdated shit defense imnsho.Cronin is not a factor.
wrongThere are 10 RSCI top 100 players on the UCLA roster. Anyone except maybe Calipari would make the tourney in that circumstance.
Cronin's overall numbers are good but he seems to be a coach who doesn't really get everything out of his players.
I'd rather have Hoiberg or Collins than Cronin. The numbers doesn't add up, but that's just my opinion on him.
