Fire woodson, clap clap, clap clap clap.

His name is Woodson, he was an IU hotshot
But that was 45 years ago when IU used to have a glow
Now we see a fire, another dumpster fire but not for Woodson, the little coach that could
Still focusing on the hump, while the team takes a dump

Enough of that, apologies to Barry Manilow.

After listening to CMWs press conference, It’s clear to me that he has no idea how to fix this clusterf! Puts a lot of blame on them not having MR playing. MR out is not the reason this team is getting blown out by 30! He is in way over his head!
He takes zero responsibility for the situation IU finds itself in. It’s either the players or injuries or anything else but his and the fools he hired lack of coaching acumen. At some point when a man continues to experience defeat and poor results in life, you have to question yourself and accept some responsibility.

I meant that in the context of his reported rejection of a buyout offer last year
I don't think he is getting it done but even if true (rejection of a buyout), I can see why he felt he had a decent shot to correct some of last year's problems.

Totally agree. And bothers me some that many chanting probably never saw him play or have any appreciation for him as an IU player. No joy in this whatsoever.
It’s the tragedy that’s become IU basketball, starting with the firing of our HOF coach, followed by the cheating scandal and midseason firing of Kelvin Sampson.

Nope. He actually says : "It's on me. I gotta get them over the hump. They took good shots, they just didn't fall". He says that just about every time they lose. He constantly tries to take responsibility for losing. You can't ask someone who can't do it to do what he cannot. That's Dolson's job.
It isn't Woodson's job to give up in the middle of the season. In fact, he is the only former player who can probably say he single handedly elevated his team to a conference title when things were bleak.

Dolson is at fault if he can't get the program going. And the timing is March unless Woodson loses control of the team.

Dolson was not involved in picking Woodson or the idiots sitting next to him. WTF

"I do gotta make something very clear, adversity is part of sports, and for those of you who are so quick to give up and call for quits and everything, there's a reason that you guys aren't coaches. So relax. There's no other coach in the country that I would trust with anything in my life than coach Woodson, and there's no other university I'd want to represent. So we're gonna run it back, but you guys gotta chill."

Nah, stick a fork in this shit.
Not sure who said that, but that sums up the problem quite nicely for this team. Who goes out in any sport, takes an ass whoopin like that, and has a response such as this? A fricking loser! That’s who…

Never been on a team that had a bad season?

IU just needs Carlyle to easily average those 13+ ppg to get them out of this mess!

Yep but do they care though.
I am sure they don’t enjoy terrible publicity that makes them look foolish and complicit with the descent of the IU basketball tradition. If this had all been blamed on Dolson by the fanbase and in the media then not so uncomfortable.

If it was the student section then none of them saw him play. They only know the coach.

Woodson has brought this on himself with his condescending comment about true fans, his arrogance on parade time after time.
If his legacy is destroyed then he only has to look in the mirror to see what caused it.
Agreed- that senior day last season was as tone deaf a performance as I can recall by Woody and Leal both. Each lost a lot of folks’ support that afternoon.

Did you just forget to put DWS?

"you guys gotta chill...chill...chill....bump bow bow...jungle boogie! more bounce jungle boogie!"

Leal was just busting out EPMD.

What did I miss?
Minor dust up between Luke Goode and Illinois kid on baseline. Players gathered and Ballo jumped up over the group to push the Illinois kid. Ballo given a flagrant 2 and our PG Rice got a technical. The main concern is if Ballo gets suspended for Friday game. I think Woody looking for excuses now- thank the Lord Louisville happened and we had full roster.

Hummel didn’t think Ballo would have to sit for OSU once he saw the replay that it was a shove with an open hand and not a closed fist. Thankfully the melee didn’t escalate out of frustration into a Pacer-like brawl led by Ron Artest.

Ron Artest was wound pretty tight.

Was Archie a better coach than CMW? Wonder how this team would look with that devastating pack-line defense! 🥴
You mean we don’t already? It’s like pack line on steroids out there. Hell the 7 footer doesn’t even jump and was wide open all game.

Rice yes…Ballo wasn’t a smart move
Glad to see it.

There were three shoves out there two by IU and one by Ill. The call on Rice and Ivisic were correct, the one on Ballo was not and the shove of Ballo was uncalled. And about five more Ill players had to be pushed back to the bench

I generally prefer that a player in an IU jersey stays above the garbage but at least they showed a spark.

They showed more energy in that then they did all game. Not a good look by IU.
