At least Finebaum doesn't look at reality and deny it. SEC schools have some advantages, they don't have a lock on the best coaches. Just as IU has shown, coaching makes a difference on how teams perform. It also take players but schools can get players from all over the country.

Here's the deal...the money matters...a lot. I follow English soccer and the parity of the Premier League has increased dramatically because mid-table teams can afford to keep their players and aren't just feeders for Manchester United like they were for the 30 years prior.

Look at the way Indiana was able to keep CCC. How many transfers did we lose that were going to start here? We took Cal's starting QB. We are way up the food chain now and the only thing that matters more than our program's historic futility is our $$$.

The B1G is going to become like the AFC. Ohio State might be Kansas City, but we are very close to entering a world where a 10-2 team plays a 9-3 team for the B1G Championship.
