100% agree. Hate to nit pick with the offensive fireworks this team generated virtually all year long, but Zach Horton seemed like a pretty good bet to come up with a clutch catch and was definitely no fun for the defenive backs to get down.

Almost a carbon copy of last year's TE. Horton was 6-4 252

100% agree. Hate to nit pick with the offensive fireworks this team generated virtually all year long, but Zach Horton seemed like a pretty good bet to come up with a clutch catch and was definitely no fun for the defenive backs to get down.

Watch the pro game and their utilization of the TE position. It's night and day between college and the NFL in TE usage.

There are several programs that are noted for TE play. Iowa and Michigan immediately come to mind.

Kid was the #8 TE prospect in the 2022 class and had over 28 offers. And those offers were from the likes of ND (who he signed with). Michigan, OSU, Oregon, Georgia, Bama, LSU, Ole Miss, Texas, Auburn, Florida State, Penn State.
For all of those bemoaning that we didn’t, attract blue chips in the portal, this kid has all the pedigree.

Get crunked for this guy! He’s the TE we’ve been looking for.

BTW, Indiana has three TE in the NFL. Henderson, Barner, and the big black kid at Carolina Panthers. Not bad for where we've been!

Dang CFB Reddit from last year when he left ND to now, both ND and UT fans bag on Staes. ND fans say some WR and TEs had attitude issues, wanted guaranteed spot, and said he blocks like Neon Deion used to tackle.

Doesn't square with Coach Cig's style, so I'm betting he'll be good for us. I hope.

Assuming that this is true, I’m guessing he’s been humbled a little bit.

Hopefully he has a chip on his shoulder for how little he’s contributed up to now.

One things for sure, we’re going to find out.
