Empty the damn seats. It’s the only historically effective way to get their attention and results. Consistently failed results, but results.
The directors and donors responsible for this mess are far more of an embarrassment than the cast of clowns they personally anointed and hired. A prime example of ignorant empowered incompetent fools dismissing the unconditional loyalty of its fans that to this day are a staple in erecting its wealth. More so now than ever with NIL.
25 years of insulting our intelligence and stealing our money with every hire post Knight. Not one fn time have they searched out and offered the correct candidate or deserving candidate, and most recently, not even a qualified candidate.
The imbeciles running this program further into its grave need to be identified and removed for life.
Or they can keep doubling down on bs and eventually purchase 17,000 season tickets themselves. They can bus the homeless in from Indy in order to fill the seats in their desperate attempt to disguise the abandonment of support by the “real fans”.

Devalueing the basketball program. Coach Knight was 100% right. It's been so easy to see for a long time now.

I swore I wouldn’t go to a game after the Auburn game last year. It’s too embarrassing and at this point, just don’t GAF. Haven’t missed a game by choice in a long long time. At the very least, I would watch it later as a recording. Not sure I will watch any more this year. Hope the viewership plummets along with the empty seats.

I believe students boycotting or displaying non interest by not attending will make a great impact because they are the future. Also I'm quite certain Dolson gets it and he knows how fast a program can be turned positive after the Cignetti hire. But he likes process and setting the deck chairs in position before he makes action taken public. I'm confident.

Depending on how organized, and how "visual" such a thing would be...the only worry I'd have about it is the narrative national guys like Wilbon, Bilas maybe, whoever else might have with it. I can hear the "toxic fanbase" stuff right now. And I can hear some of them talking about how Woodson took us to 2 NCAAs, still could this year, etc... Unrealistic expectations... All that.

And while I don't think it matters a ton, I hate for any negative perception on the fan base, and overall program...outside of how the team is playing... to play any sort of role weeding out potential replacement candidates. We need the pool to be as big, and eager to join us, as possible...to help ensure Dolson can find a good fit.

Well... the first part of all this has already happened one game. All the BOOING from the fans when Woodson walks out.... at the end of a bad half and at the end of a loss!!!!

Whenever the fans chants get louder and louder at the home games..... this may be the starting process of emptying the seats for games

It likely will not happen too many IU fans are like Nebraska football fans. They show up no matter how awful the team is.

Just looked up Woodson's record the last four years:

2021-2022 21-14 (NCAA T)
2022-2023 23-12 (NCAA T)
2023-2024 19-14 (No NCAA T)
2024-2025 14-5 so Far

One would expect by the third and fourth year that you would
see some significant improvement in a team.

I'm not seeing it!!!!!

Mike has had his chance..... that's all I'm say'in

Not showing up doesn’t fix anything all you lose id concessions tickets have all been paid for. Only one loses there are the ticket holders. Show up and voice your opinion.

Imo, its a bad look to have said NOTHING publicly about this situation.....cowardly.

Overcame near same with FB and Cignetti. Results oriented coach cures ALL.

And this year the schedule has been easy. He has not even started to play the hard teams yet except Illinois.

Looking back at your posts...the comment referring to a perception of negativity seem 'slightly' ironic.

What would you have him say?

The best thing he can do is work behind the scenes and have the hire ready or close after the axe falls at season's end.
I floated a need for a "vote of confidence" message from Dolson.

Maybe, disingenuously praising Woodson...if it would be disingenuous...isn't a great idea.

But I do think...ESPECIALLY if there is some sort of student boycott or something... Dolson should consider making some sort of statement. Maybe something about Coaches at Indiana University being evaluated and judged on their results over seasons, not over stretches of games. And make some sort of reference to IU's current record, how they're excited about the opportunities this team has in front of them. And that like every offseason, there will be a review and we'll always strive for IU to be an elite level program.

The old "I would hope you would support us for who we are, not for who we are not"..."My team is on the floor"...type of talk.

But also making it clear there will be an "evaluation" and that he'll do what's best for IU basketball.

Not saying anything, after some sort of boycott...I don't know...seems pretty weak.

Its a crap situation no matter how you slice it.

Thing will be said or done until the season is over. Once we get to selection Sunday and we are not in it. Woodson is let go

The seats are sold whether anyone in them or not.

I wish people who are retired would organize and picket Buckner until Woodson finally fired. 😂

Totally agree. However, new coach will not emerge until after tournaments (since their current teams will be in it). Hopefully Dolson has already had some feelers out for candidates/those who would be interested. The liberals all cry about Beard, but remember, Bobby wasn’t a saint. He knew his basketball and he loved his players/students/fans. Didn’t care about the media or University crying about things. That’s all I want, and I’m sure most fans who experienced those times would welcome it back as well. Hopefully Dolson can get President Whitten to get on board. I’m sure she is enjoying the Cignetti ride right now.

Knight’s conduct went beyond not being a saint. He was downright abusive toward his players. He punched a police officer in Puerto Rico. I thought you people were all about “backing the blue.”
