Bongino just made a good point in that a lot of the top Twitter execs are paid in stock options. If they don't take the deal and Musk tanks the stock they are forked.

Unreal. The progressives must now choose between supporting the Saudis or maintaining their precious censorship. And they hate the Saudis…. but I think their love of controlling the public discourse is just slightly greater.
For the record I’m not sure Musk is liquid enough to actually pull this off. Selling off shares of Tesla/ SpaceX is a non-starter and a loan that size is super risky in the event of a margin call.

He donated 5.7 billion this year. But with his wealth I have no idea what benefit he may inure from it
It sounds like a sound move by Trump if it is accurate but I doubt that it is.
