lol. I would not bet on IU for anything basketball related. I should start probably betting against them. That might have amassed a nice little chunk of change this season.
There’s guys out there who are better. He probably sees better environment and opportunity at Michigan, regardless. IU is a dumpster fire in basketball. Who wants to walk into another Crean-like rebuild?
No way is it comparable to what Cignetti did. It would be a comparison that is strongly tilted in Cig's favor.
I'd definitely want to hear a no from Stevens, Beard, and Pearl before considering Dusty.

Are you kidding.? What the hell are you talking about? Are you comparing Michigan basketball to IU football?
He’s got a favorable schedule with Purdue, Maryland, Illinois, and MSU all at home. Michigan has a road game at MSU, too, and it’s the only game they won’t be favored in. The B1G title is there for the taking if they can finish 7-1.
While I can see some of the Crean thing, you have to admit that he pales in comparison when it comes to weirdness.
My only prediction when it comes to who IU hires is that it will be someone who makes approximately half of the folks on this board lose their shit.
May needs to be 4th or 5th on the list. IU settling for him shows they don’t have ambitions of ever being elite again.

You'll be calling for them to fire McCollum from very early on. Kinda why I might enjoy it.
Cig took the worst program in college football history and took it to the CFP! Absolutely no comparison.

I say go get Pearl who we know wins. Let him get us to final fours in the next 4 seasons, let him retire and then we will see where Dusty stands. If he is still legit, bring him in.

Indiana is and always will be in love with basketball. I have waited a lifetime for IU to be relevant in football and I am grateful. The recruiting base is a huge advantage. His family and his roots. He grew up a Hoosier fan. Money 💰 The chance to be a Hoosier legend.
