Weird that you chose me to say this to. I didn’t start any of them. But ok.Hey I’ve got an idea. Let’s start a post about the Beard incident…. Oh wait, there already is one at 653 comments.

So you can’t handle discussing things on this board with someone that has boiler in their name? Only person that brought up Purdue is you. Try to keep it in topic hereThat’s what happens when Purdoo fans pop over here once in awhile. Go chat on your own board.
I get that they’re not high on him. Not sure what you’re getting out of it? You agree with them, I don’t. 🤷♂️55min mark

Moron drama queens, listen. There’s no way Dolson has Woody step down, mid season, with out a CYA mentality. He’s had his man since day one.
Doesn’t matter who started it. You were the poor sap that made the last comment about it when I responded. And then you respond to jopajackson to “stay on topic”. We want the “TOPIC” to stop.Weird that you chose me to say this to. I didn’t start any of them. But ok.
Could they possibly be TMP and Kraft?
Heard the same stuff for Miller justification , etc. why can’t IU get a successful established high level coach?

What are we taking about? Because I don’t care what the name is.What do you think is going to happen when you come to an IU fan forum with "Boiler" in your screen name?
By the way, I just threw up in my mouth even typing the B-word!
Not necessarily. If you read what I wrote, it doesn’t say gory details of that night. It says gory details of his relationship.Gory details would suggest he did it. I thought the argument was he didn’t do anything because charges were dropped?
No, dumbass they are not.Could they possibly be TMP and Kraft?
You wrote: “good lawyers.”The contractual clauses did not require Beard be found guilty of a crime, just charged with one. He was charged and then the charges dropped. Even if he was not charged, Texas had an out for conduct "unbecoming" the university and that incident embarrassed them. Not sure how many good lawyers take that case on contingency. I wouldn't.
Even if Beard had a good case, he might not want to pursue it for two good reasons: (1) he might not want to have all the gory details of his relationship with his ex-fiance come out, embarrassing him, his ex, and his daughters; and (2) he might believe such a suit would make him radioactive to any big time program in the future.
As for going back to Texas, they'd have to want him back. They do not.
The ‘Beard did nothing wrong’ crowd cracks me up.
We had a coach who choked players (may they both RIP)
Do you really want a coach who choked his wife ??
But but but she didn’t press charges.
He can't stay away. It's a compulsion. What do you think is going to happen when you come to an IU fan forum with "Boiler" in your screen name?
By the way, I just threw up in my mouth even typing the B-word!
We all want, make that need, a coach on a zero tolerance policy because it worked out so well the last time 😂The ‘Beard did nothing wrong’ crowd cracks me up.

Would a Purdue fan prefer IU hire a Chris Beard, Ben McCollum, or Brownell?I am. We are talking about beard
Good question. Whoever they dislike the most, they're afraid of.Would a Purdue fan prefer IU hire a Chris Beard, Ben McCollum, or Brownell?
At least we got a compound word out of you.No, dumbass they are not.
Chris Beard would be the best hire for iu, but the baggage is not great. I’d go McCollum. High risk, high reward, but what does iu have to lose with this hire?Would a Purdue fan prefer IU hire a Chris Beard, Ben McCollum, or Brownell?
I am not afraid of any of them.Good question. Whoever they dislike the most, they're afraid of.
McCollum would not be getting traction without the Cigs hire which is a totally diffrent circumstance. Indiana football could take a chance Indiana basketball will be near dead if they hire a unproven first year d1 coach that fails.I get that they’re not high on him. Not sure what you’re getting out of it? You agree with them, I don’t. 🤷♂️
They think IU should get a more proven (D1) coach. Their egos (regarding IU’s place in bball hierarchy) get in the way of freer thinking.
I like the way BM identifies the players he wants, how he maximizes their abilities both individually and then collectively as a team. That should work at any level.
I like how he doesn’t have a set offense. He uses concepts that work and adapts them to the abilities of the team and allows the players to run it (he does draw up plays for oob situations).
I’m still McCullom fan and supporter.🙂
we have discussed the beard situation at length in another thread. Go awaySo you can’t handle discussing things on this board with someone that has boiler in their name? Only person that brought up Purdue is you. Try to keep it in topic here
Yeah, but everybody is asking us to hire the proven first year D1 coach. Not an unproven one.McCollum would not be getting traction without the Cigs hire which is a totally diffrent circumstance. Indiana football could take a chance Indiana basketball will be near dead if they hire a unproven first year d1 coach that fails.
I believe it has to be proven Beard, Drew, TJ, Brownell hell I would take Chris Collins over McCollum.Yeah, but everybody is asking us to hire the proven first year D1 coach. Not an unproven one.
,
That’s what I was guessing you’d say.Chris Beard would be the best hire for iu, but the baggage is not great. I’d go McCollum. High risk, high reward, but what does iu have to lose with this hire?
Proven what? A couple of those guys have literally only proven they’re juuust good enough to not get fired. Beard has a 53% P4 conference games winning percentage. TJ has 2 years of P4 experiences. Drew and Beard are the only ones on that list that have proven they can do what we’re gonna expect them to do at IU. And they have also proven they can also be pretty mediocre, at times.I believe it has to be proven Beard, Drew, TJ, Brownell hell I would take Chris Collins over McCollum.
What if he doesn't fail?McCollum would not be getting traction without the Cigs hire which is a totally diffrent circumstance. Indiana football could take a chance Indiana basketball will be near dead if they hire a unproven first year d1 coach that fails.
Who’s Beard?Hey I’ve got an idea. Let’s start a post about the Beard incident…. Oh wait, there already is one at 653 comments.

What else would I say? That’s what I was guessing you’d say.
Google him. To expedite your search, type "overrated coach who beats women."Who’s Beard?
IU fans don’t want an overrated coach with a 14-6 record in the tournament!Google him. To expedite your search, type "overrated coach who beats women
I agree with a lot of what you say, but I don’t know how you consider what beard has done combined with where he’s done it and think he’s not “proven”Proven what? If we’re chasing a ghost…like many of our posters obviously are… Then why not consider the guy that hasn’t proven he isn’t capable of producing consistently great teams like RMK was.
Joke.IU fans don’t want an overrated coach with a 14-6 record in the tournament!
If they are winning 25+ games a year, they will watch.IU gets itself in trouble when they just pull up big names. I’m tired of hearing about Brad Stevens. I want somebody who wants to be here.
I laughed when I heard Dakich say that the “real IU fans don’t care about style of play (the criticism of McCollum) as long as they win.” I thought: Dan must have not visited this site in a while to hear posters claim they could never watch McCollum’s offense.
I refuse to believe that there are no good coaches below D1.
Those clowns are clueless. They also probably wanted Archie at the time.
