Duke's freshmen include 3 guys who are taking college basketball by storm putting up unheard of numbers after a couple of games. But they play with a good cast around them.
Against Xavier Tuesday night, Wisconsin won the game with points from only 5 players, while 2 of those players scored 6 points total.
Ethan Happ took 1/3 of the Badgers' shots, had 30 points and 13 rebounds.
D'Mitrik Trice had 22 and 5 assists, while Davison had 19.
Overall, Wisky shot 50% and was 9-16 from 3.
I think in comparison to IU, what has been surprising is that after 2 games, the scoring is probably more balanced than what I would guess. It will change and sort itself out as opponents get tougher, but I would argue that preparing for Wisconsin looks quite a bit easier, at this stage, than preparing for IU. Indiana has 4-5 guys who can get you 15, but they have another 5 who can get you 8 and 4.
Let's hope this balance pays dividends as the season heats up.
