Does Woodson even care?

If i were on this team, i think this would be a serious question I'd have. Seems like the players care more than coach. Maybe Leal can become the de facto player/coach. Maybe Calbert can tell CMW to stay home and just run things from here. Dolson has to be thinking about who our next coach will be next season.

He absolutely wanted to be the one guy that was an NBA player with some coaching experience that went back to his old school and rescued it. He underestimated the necessity of picking a support network that would give him the best chance to do it. He's incredibly insecure so we have the crummy staff we have.

He's known for a while now that he's not a college coach but we're talking about 4+ million a year and the title of IU coach. He's aware that this is it. I think he'll attempt to keep his job by offering to pull a Penny and hire a completely new staff, but the massive January losing streak that's coming will be the final nail in the coffin.

He cares about having the title and having people kiss his behind. He isn't willing to do the hard work the job requires. And he is the third highest paid coach in the big ten. Unreal

No, he underestimated the effort needed to be a first rate college coach. It's a 24/7, 365d/yr job that requires sucking up to 17 y.o. kids that can be extremely high maintenance.
It's a damn hard and time consuming job. He's not that committed.

I bet a guy like Painter was working 70 hours a week his first few years on the job. Woodson is lucky to put in 40 a week. Nba guys rarely if ever succeed when they try and coach college
But he is paid like a first rate coach which is mind blowing for the effort he gives.
