End of season. Would love for him to announce it now, like Hamilton at FSU. Honestly think it could completely change the mood and “save” the season if he would agree to do that.
But I’m sure he won’t. So let him go the day after the season is over. And hopefully hire the next guy the day after their respective season is over.
He has a maximum of 40 days left. Then this nightmare is over.
I see zero probability of him resigning prior to the end of the season barring a true non-coaching related issue, ie health. With his arrogance displayed at senior speeches last season combined with the “King” of Indiana title, he is far too proud, egotistical and arrogant to resign before the end of the season. With his arrogance, he probably thinks he’s doing a good job and it’s the players who are doing a poor job.

My guess is that he will have to be forced out. He has a buy out and every week he stays is like $80,000 (about?) extra. So economically he has no incentive to leave.
From an embarrassment or pride point of view I think he feels the lack of success is the fault of staff, players, fans, schedule, etc. Anything and everything but himself. So more losses or not on him.
I have zero inside info, and have not watched a game in 2-3 months. I am just guessing this from his prior comments, coming to the forum, listening to sports radio, and watching his team discipline and team’s effort.
I will give the new coach full attention and reopen pocket book.

I have no idea. As long as quinn and ferguson have their noses in the program nothing would surprise me with IU. But for him to go he will have to be fired. There is no chance someone with and ego like him leaves on his own.

I think if we go belly up over next 6-8 games (and a brutal schedule awaits), there may be some maneuver to announce his "retirement" before the B1G tourney, to allow him to safe face. If so I hope he has the sense to do it and not dig in his stubborn heels. That's how this goes real ugly.
