Caleb Love is visiting this weekend alongside 2021 prospect Trey Kaufman. He is down to Missouri, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, UNC, and Arizona. He recently announced he will not visit Arizona, which likely means he is down to five.

If he doesn't want real classes he will pick UNC. If he wants money he will pick Arizona and Kansas. If he wants prostitutes and strippers he will pick Louisville. If he is honorable it will be between IU and Missouri.

I'm as critical of anyone about UNC and their sham courses, but I think the AA Studies loophole has been closed (not to say there aren't others), and the same with Lville with Mack there. That's a stout list of schools and with where we are, we're going to lose out to them with recruits more than we beat them at the moment. Here's hoping Love is the exception, but your reasoning is to make you feel better about why we lost, rather than why a kid might choose another school. If we're going to compete and beat those schools routinely, first we gotta make the tourney routinely and WIN when we get there.

Not a prayer. This is just a free trip for Caleb.

I think IU has only a small chance of landing him but there is a chance. This "free trip" argument seems laughable. He lives only about about a 4 hr drive away. And why would he waste a free trip to go to Indiana? Florida, Cal, and Arizona all offered him so if he was just looking for a "free trip" these would make more sense to use for official visits. But none of them are getting one. It's almost like he's using the visits to help him decide. Seems more likely than him just wanting a free ticket to an IU football game. Crazy, I know.

He probably just wants to watch the OSU football game.

Nobody cares about those issues. It is old news. UNC might have found a more acceptable way to provide a degree for morons or lazy people.

I am pretty sure schools have taken a break from providing hookers and paying players. You can still go to MSU and sexually assault coeds with the support of the coaches and the athletic department.

Arizona has happy on the payroll. He either heads to the cash machine or may even buy him a tractor. They get the best players that mobey can buy. Happy can even buy you a middle linebacker.

These responses are laughable.

He wouldn't be taking a visit if we didn't have a chance. Now yes, we're definitely behind Carolina. They're definitely the leader here. But he's already been on campus once and he's giving us a second look.

We've got a chance here, although it's a small chance.

Correct probably a 1 to 4 percent chance. It would be like the miracle on ice if he picked us over money and fake classes.

HSN poster says Love cancelled his visit.

And no visit so yes we had no shot.

Like i said before we had no shot. The only five stars we are going to get are indiana ones unless we want to play dirty in the gutter. We never had a shot with love imo.
I don't think instate true five stars will sign UK will get them.
IU will have to wait on Bloomington South or Southern Indiana
to produce every three years or so.

Purdue got 40pt tourney performances from a non-5-star last year.

IU has had non-5-star players become Big Ten player of the year.

Focusing on number of stars is fruitless. A better question- can a kid like Geronimo have freshman impact like Aaron Henry did at MSU last year?

Can overlooked "4-star" Trayce Jackson-Davis be a top newcomer in the Big Ten and help IU reach the tourney this year?

There's a difference between Exceptions vs Norm - a sample of the first does not invalidate the whole of the second.

Learn it, know it, live it.

No one said it did. But focusing on stars is fruitless because there is no defense of how they are making their lists. Winning college basketball games vs. getting drafted in the NBA are 2 different things.

Our main problem is we haven’t produced enough of number two to get the players required to do number 1.

It’s funny how every loves the five star recruits until they commit elsewhere. Then all of a sudden we’re better off without them. Funny how that works.
