Discussing Hoosiers' Newest Signees!

I don’t know the players. To answer the question we would need to know which position we needed most and which player was the best at his position. The best combo of those two factors would be our most exciting new guy.

Not to pile on Coach Woodson, but that's what you get at a FB school! lol! Maybe Coach Cignetti should also coach BB:)
ha He certainly can't do any worse. I will say, there are great bball coaches out there that would jump at a chance to coach at one of the highest roster budgets in the country. It's a new day and if Dolson learned anything after Cignetti, find someone who has a track record of consistent success.

As for this thread's topic, I like the recruits we added and hope this helps give our existing players good competition and growth going into next season. When you turn over a vast number of starting positions on a team full of talent, its hard to say which replacement I look forward to the most. We truly need them all!

I think he would do a better job than Woodson. Vince Lombardi coached high school basketball and took a historically losing school and still won the schools only state championship to this day. Also, Gene Keady wanted to be a football coach as he played college football yet couldn't find a coaching job in football.

Basically, a coach is a coach and a winner is a winner. Sadly, Woodson is not a winner.

At this point in the season, it is hard to tell which players will shine. A key example was Ponds last season excelling in the B1G like he had played in it all his life. I thought he would be good but didn't know if his speed matched up with B1G speed and it did. Right now, I would say Mendoza and Hemby but of course Wheeler and Morse are likely to excel too.

Woodson was a winner as a player so let’s not overlook that. As a coach, I would agree he is not a winner.

I agree. In most cases you don't have to place that caveat but out of nothing but pure respect, we must not lose sight that he is one of our own. He'll be forever embraced at IU and always drink for free, but for the love of the program, CMW, please step aside.
