Did Luka really just get traded to the Lakers for AD?

AD had a great first game with Mavs 26pts 16 rebounds
Luka not so much-14 pts 4 rebounds
The buffet restaurants in LA are concerned and changing their policies with Luka’s arrival.

Yea, AD's next three games were goose eggs though. Seems to be working out well for the Mavs. AD is great, when he's on the floor. He ain't gonna be.
Yeah. I like the prospect of Kyrie, Klay, and AD outcomes better than a roster that includes LeBron and Luka together so be interesting to see. Kyrie, Thompson, and AD were all out for one of those games.
I just assumed the Lakers gave up on winning another title with Lebron and are moving to have Luka be the star. That income tax is gonna be a bitch in CA Luka!
I think you are right. They are starting to plan post LeBron and need a flashy star. He did good in Texas with no income tax but the property taxes on the mansion he bought would have been sizable.
