DePaul hit with NCAA sanctions

Wow: all the BS going on in the NCAA from fake classes to major payments by major programs and this is what they do. Hit DePaul with sanctions. Pitiful.
The wheels of justice turn slowly, but grind exceedingly fine.:)

I'm still hopeful that we will hear more interesting cases filed this month or the next one.

I'll have to be from Missouri on that.
The show me state? Ironically, they were hit earlier in the year for football, softball and baseball:

As for bball comeuppance:

"Stan Wilcox, NCAA vice president for regulatory affairs, told CBS Sports that at least six programs will be receiving a Notice of Allegations for Level I violations, and two of those schools, described as “high-profile” programs, will receive them by early July.

"The others will receive the notices later in the summer, per Wilcox."

They are running late.

The shoe is going to drop on Arizona, Louisville and possibly Kansas.
Kansas won't get hit because once they get word of their ineligible player(s)
they automatically sit on the pine for the season. This method is soothing to the NCAA since they are a powerhouse. This can also satisfy their one year college requirement prior going to NBA either as 2nd rounder or undrafted.

Kansas could get hit for lack of institutional oversight, and that means Coach Bill Self.

Wasn't there some annoying "feel good" story about some old lady at depaul and the ncaa tourney?
"[DePaul] hadn't qualified for the NCAA Tournament since the 2003–04 season and the Blue Demons had not made postseason play since 2006–07. Additionally, DePaul finished last in the Big East eight out of the past ten seasons including a tie for last place during the 2017–18 season." So, no.

You're likely thinking of another Chicago school, Loyola, which made Final Four, and the old lady was a nun. Not sure about the annoying part.

"On March 24, 2018, the [Loyola] Ramblers defeated Kansas State 78–62 to advance to play in their second Final Four in school history."

Like to see some of the big ones get nailed but it's probably dreaming to think that. Kansas and Arizona, Arizona for obvious reasons and Kansas allegedly offered big bucks to Zion but he ends up at Duke. That doesn't look just a little suspicious but K may be too big for the NCAA. What a joke.

I'm aware, but was only speaking towards NCAA bball. I don't believe the NCAA has the balls today to lock a program like UNC, Kansas, AZ, UK or Duke out of an NCAA tourney, regardless of how much money is flowing.
But they had the balls to sit on USC, Miami, Penn State, with LSU in their wheelhouse now. Bigger money in football.
