defending against Edey

ok, here's an undereducated hypothesis.

Edey is big and bulky. Moves like a tractor or a tall crane.
Refs give him a LOT of latitude when it comes to him using that bulk for clearing space. Refs also give defenders a good amount of latitude when it comes the pushing to keep Edey out of the paint.
As it was repeated over and over and over vs Ohio State, once Edey gets the ball down low, the defender is at tremendous disadvantage. Edey will use is bulk to shoulder in an extra 3 feet and once he moves into his shot, odds are the defense will get called for contact, if any call is made.

I noticed that Edey has little arc in his shot. Yes he releases at 10' but the ball seldom rises higher than 12'. With quick jump I think Trace could block that.
What if TDJ plays off. Someone (Race) plays man on Edey to prevent dunks, and TJD comes in with timed help just to block his shot.
Of course, this could fail big time, depending on who Trace left open in order to jump in on Edey. Timing would be everything.
