So, is TT a threat to National Security? Yes, no, maybe so?
Hell, the SC ruled on it, so it was obviously a serious matter.
And now, Trump is going to intervene? Nah, no political bullshit red meat here. Move along.

My middle kid has already said all the kids are going over to instagram reels.

She can't plan 10 minutes ahead for anything important but she's already got her tiktok is banned plan down.

No they are going to another Chinese app, red something.

Most were already on Instagram. That product sucks comparatively.

Co-sign. Ridiculous. She doesn’t know where her school assigned locker is but amassed her following on a new platform in just seconds

They say the licensing is in Mandarin so everyone is agreeing to unknown terms to install it. Yep, that has to be better.
Stuff it Boomer. These kids don’t know anything about terms. They want their Mr Beast and not be out in the cold when the latest Banger drops!!! They’ll be standing at the ice rink like fools now. Paralyzed!!! In short. THEY’RE COOKED!!!!!

Elon will buy Tik Tok with government subsidies to make this whole situation more equitable.

As opposed to the English ones everybody reads carefully?

For years and years we were told shrink wrap licensing was unenforceable. I don't know if it is, but Disney started down a strange path with it. A customer was told a meal didn't have an allergan but it did and died. Their family sued. Disney claimed the person signed up for Disney + which included an arbitration clause. Disney eventually dropped that.

If those are enforceable who knows how many ways we are all screwed.

arbitration clauses are often a tool to prevent a class action. Individually case is worth peanuts and covkblocks brad

Don’t let them on Red Note. The ban maybe reversed in a day or two.
I wish the Supremes had asked how this was a matter of national security. If it is introducing back doors onto phones, yes, kick it out. Otherwise it is crazy to ban it. Yes, people may do something stupid with it, but they do that with Twitter/Reels/Facebook already. And the odds China hasn't hacked in and retrieved whatever they want from those companies are 0%. If China wants that video of Mc pretending to be Tom Cruise dancing to Old Time Rock and Roll, they have it no matter what platform it was stored on.

Biden already said his administration won't enforce it, leaving this up to Trump. It's not available because the company made it unavailable.

So the Chinese owned company will respect and abide by US law but our US President Biden won't? Is that what you're saying?

I said the Chinese shut it off and Biden announced his administration wouldn't enforce the law the last three days of his Presidency. Now the question is whether President Trump's administration will enforce the law and whether it matters? If the app continues to be shutdown it's the same result.

Ok. So what I posted was correct. The Chinese followed the US law and Biden admin won't follow the US law. Got it.

And Trump has said he "most likely" will sign an EO giving them a 90 day reprieve. So yes, it appears we likely have two presidents not following a stupid law.
