DD didn't oppose Sampson, at least until Sampson was run off. DD worked for him.

It's my belief that the IU administration helped bring DD in-I could be wrong-he clearly was not part of Sampson's original staff. Came in after the season started. You seem kind of pathetic yourself.
Dakich worked for Sampson. That's simply a fact. And, if he wasn't on board with what Sampson was doing, he was free to walk. He'd already walked away from West Virginia when he didn't like the landscape . . . he wouldn't have hesitated to do the same thing at IU. And , no, the IU Administration didn't bring him in. They were happy to have him, but it was completely Sampson's decision.

Couple things..the guy McVajj that doesn't like me is not worth answering..I've learned that folks like that have far more going on in their lives that percipitate that kind of hate and it's so irrational that there is no value in engaging
Couple things..Urban and I are friends..have gone on vacation together have golfed and he has done more for me when I was down than most of my lifelong friends..he got me and my wife tix on his bench so we will always hang there..in fact he likes Leigh far better than he likes me but we have varying lives and don't hang all the much
Wilson..addressed it on the other board..but here you go..Wilson sent me a very personal and nasty text that was shared w his media staff..I returned w a text and phone call challenging him on his stance ..my challenge went unaccepted as was smart for both parties
IU football is something I have gone to and rooted for since 1972 or 73 since my dad sent a player named Dan Jackovich to IU to play..I want and have always wanted IU football to win and attended every home game that I was in town for during my time in Btown
My motives for GameDay? To involve students from the IU Media school and have a place to go for IU fans to have a blast..gotta tell you it was a tremendous success and will happen again next year..the assertion that my "motives" where anything other than that are idiotic and IU fans should avoid the "Purdue mentality"

Oh yeah..been a Cubs fan since 1969 when my dad took us to Opening Day..only team I openly root for other than my kids or step kids ..if that's "Bandwagon" then so be it

Hopefully GameDay will become an annual event. Sorry to have missed it. Thanks for giving back to IU, and the additional insights. As an '87 grad, I simply long for the days when football and basketball were firing on all cylinders.
