Last time OSU played here he stood on their sideline supporting his friend Urban Meyer. I'd say he is being self serving

I have no problems with him being friends with Urban. He's a great coach. I would think that at the end of the day, he's an IU supporter. It would be great if he and CKW could hug it out.

I don't care that they are friends but he should never stand on the opposing sideline in Bloomington.

Someone asked how everyone would feel if DD sat on the opposing teams bench in AH. A good question

Well, he rightfully wore Michigan gear in AH last year. I really don't care what his 'motives' are for his gameday show. I think it's pretty damn cool that he's doing this.

Supporting your son is different than a guy you worked with 13 years ago. Meyer and Dakich were only together for 2001-2

That day ended long ago and he is still a buck fan, UM fan or other, but not IU.

I think his bashing of Wilson is childish. The BB program has deserved the criticism. IMO.
I don't have much of an issue with DD. He is paid to stir the pot and too many people on here take the bait.

I don't know if you were in the chat when we discussed what caused the rift between DD, and KW but it's definitely an overreaction on DDs part to hold a grudge this long

DD makes it sound like they're best buds.
Urban bailed on BG after two seasons. He went to Utah. Maybe they spent time together in the summer, but I'm betting urban isn't aware of how good of friends they are:)

Dakich is the guy who represents that old axiom about a person who keeps getting promoted until he/she reaches the point where he does a job well. He does well in college basketball games, on his show he is pretty much unlistenable. Thank God for ESPN podcasts between and noon and 3pm.

He likes attention. The AD likes attention. There is no conspiracy.

He did he sit right behind Michigan's bench last season wearing his Michigan gear. Coach Crean gave him the tickets.

I think most people understand that situation since his son plays for UM. He goes out of his way to attach himself to Meyer, for obvious reasons. OSU plays in West Lafayette and several other locations that are an easy drive from Indy. How often is DD on the sideline for any of their other games?

Who cares what his motives are. Glass has his motives as well.

If you don't like it; don't go...there are lots of choices on a FB Sat in Btown.

Dakich is an alum. He has coaching friends. He is a media personality now. This is where he makes his scratch. I should hope his motivation is to build his brand as a media dude. I'm self employed. I promote me and my business. Go get'em Dan.

motives are irrelevant, it's a pretty cool and fun idea.

my only trepidation about this whole "Game Day" thing, is i'm not a fan of poking the bear.

if OSU is overlooking us, let's not wake them up any sooner than necessary.

ideally, just as the ax is falling.

that said, since were going in, i say go all in.

fun idea, and i hope it's goes off great and is a bit hit..

I think this knockoff gameday is lame. I don't expect students to care at all that Dan Dakich (1 out of 15 might know who that is) is hanging out with a closed circuit tv camera broadcasting student produced content on www.iupretendgameday2015.com/livestream/100315/~iu/ for dozens to see. This is typical IU cheese. Would ________ do this? Probably not.
I think IU fans are always looking for something to be in a huff about. I don't care what anyone else would do. It's just more pregame fun, and actually, it was trending on Twitter. Not sure why this needs 12 threads, though.

The haters are out in force... Someone tries to bring a little fun to a big game day and half of you question the motives. Come on people, be better than that.

Actually he was behind the UM bench when they played at AH with UM gear on but to me that was alright since his son plays for UM.

Is there any question with this dbag? All he cares about is himself.

He shit on IU football and its coach and now he wants to jump on board to get personal publicity.

Behind isn't on and if you don't understand the difference between supporting your son and supporting a guy he worked with for two years 13 years ago than I don't what to tell ya

I am here watching dakich show and he has been pro-IU so far. If we need a QB next year, Tyra Buss can through a nice long ball

I have to admit I was skeptical. However, sitting here in North Carolina watching the video stream it was great to see Memorial Stadium, the smoke rising from the tailgates, and all the fans. I have great memories of many tailgates as a student and alum and I miss being there each fall. Best part of the show was hearing AT's comments and Dakich picking the Hoosier over the Bucks 28-24. Go Hoosiers !!! Kudos to Dakich and his Gameday crew.

He's suddenly pro-IU to try and generate buzz for his pathetic brand. Everyone knows this schtick is a self-serving promotion.

DD getting behind the FB program is exactly what we need. Not sure why there are so many haters. I get that he and CKW got off on the wrong foot. It would be great if they could hug it out.

How ignorant are you? DD is a self-serving prick who does more harm than good for his alma mater. It would be best if he got a D3 coaching job, fitting his skill level, and no longer had a soapbox to babble his BS.

He and CKW didn't get off on the wrong foot. Dakich was being an ass and got what he deserved. What would you expect your HC to do if he was invited to do an interview and directly proceeding it the host is making a mockery of your team? I think Wilson handled it exactly as he should have. That is why there are haters and justifiably so IMO. If Dakich wants to make up for it he should man up and apologize.

I can pretty much guarantee you they'll never be pals. The most you can probably hope for is that they keep their distance from each other.

I can pretty much guarantee that you're not who you claim to be. How 'bout that?

Ignorant? Because he promoted Urban for the HC job, and opposed Sampson-you say he's done more harm than good? Ok, seems to me he's only tried to help. Aside from the dust up with CKW, which McAfee really caused, IMO, I have no problem with DD. My guess is you've called in to his show to talk smack and got punked-that's why you're so butt-hurt.
