You know that pretty accurately sums up my feelings. Just not that excited whatsoever about the season. Will probably watch games if it is convenient, but not going to go out of my way. Football has captured my attention and emotional investment. Cannot wait to see the matchup with OSU and whatever bowl season brings. I just figure from a basketball perspective we will win games against teams we should, lose to those we should and be lucky to split the 50/50 games. That’ll probably put us somewhere in the 10-12 loss range and 6-8 seed in the tournament. One and done from there.

Would love to be wrong, I just don’t see it.

Although we are presently shooting FTs at .759, poor shooting remains this team's big weakness as far as I can tell:

Goode = .250 FG pct.; .286 3-pt pct.
Cupps = .000 FG pct.; .000 3-pt pct.

In fairness to those two, Mgbako is absolutely the only one on the team who has shown he should even be trying to shoot 3-pointers at this point. The offense would be so much better if we had even just 3 guys who were threats to hit 3-pointers at a 40% rate but it doesn't look like we do.

Last year, we shot FTs at .664, so maybe we have at least improved that deficiency.

And, to me, it's not like he's hanging his head. He's still showing good effort, encouraging teammates, etc... Confident his shooting will come around, and he made 2 3s and had a 3rd in/out, so likely it all ready is.
