3 points but he’s a point guard. Bronny only had 5. Newton was the best on the floor supposedly. 22 points.

Brady Dunlap, a 6'7 wing that we're recruiting, went for 25 and hit multiple 3s.
He was on Cupp's team.
The incoming guards are very promising. Newton and Gunn though in different classes are the most intriguing to me imo
Can we remember that Cupps is only a junior so its not like he's coming to Bloomington next year.

Cupps is baller, and the exact player IU has needed since Lewis/Hulls/Yogi. Anyone who can’t see this, I can’t help you
Yogi and Lewis are 1 and 2 on the all time leading assist list for IU, so I’m not sure I understand.
IU has had some bad point guards on average for a while now

Got some Mike Miller in his game. Like that.
Newton's athleticism and energy are obvious. He has good form, and a nice touch on his shot too. His handles need some work for him to become what I'm sure he wants to become. But even if that doesn't happen, with the right mindset he'll be a good wing for us.
I don’t see him as a wing. I see him playing mostly at the 2. I doubt we se him play the 3 at all. Now he will probably switch on defense though.

Yogi lead us to two big 10 championships.
If Cupps can do that, we're all gonna be pretty excited.
He's only a junior in high school. Obviously a lot of time to develop. But his handles aren't good enough to be a good B10 level 2 guard, as of today. Little things like he still dribbles mostly in front of his body, instead off the side of his hips. Obviously his tool chest is very full to become a playmaking ball handler though. And to my point, his strength and athleticism will allow him to be effective at IU, even if he doesn't improve his handle much. He can catch the ball on the wing and make quick, explosive moves to the basket, I'm sure. He's just not going to initiate the offense much, or break down defenses off dribble moves...yet. 1,2 dribble explosion moves, sure. 1,2 dribble jumpers, looks like he can do that. And that'll be enough for him to play at IU. But he isn't catching the ball at the top of the key, with 6 seconds left on the shot clock, and making multi directional dribble moves effectively, as an example of what a good B10 level 2 guard should be able to do. I'm sure he'll get there. But that's why he isn't rated higher.
I’d prefer Cupps be better than Michael Jordan. But if he can be as good as Yogi, I’ll call that a big W.
Yogi was our best guard we had seen in 10 years. His secondary breaks were awesome. He hit so many open court 3s.
