I tuned in too late to the ESPN Studio game analysis when they were showing highlights of the day games. Tom Crean was one of three studio announcers. By the time I heard the word Indiana from another room and got to the tv ... all I heard him say "their conditioning was poor" ... How can that be from spending all summer posting videos on social media of them working out in deep sand and lifting weights ????

I know ... I am just stirring the pot a little.

my opinion of crean notwithstanding, he isn't wrong. we weren't quick or strong.

but yesterday was a mental collapse more than anything. guards looked scared. offense plodded about. D was slow to recover too often. no leadership.

that's how a guy gets a board laying on his back - playing a very unaggressive team.

Will never understand the disrespect and lack of appreciation this fanbase has for Crean after he brought the program back to a respectable level from the ashes Sampson left behind.
I'm sure we all respected him for rhat and appreciated him for it. Calling him a used car saleman coach etc is just the truth. Thin skin isnt good to have for someone as the head coach at Indiana U

I'm not jumping up and down for him...And he had to go.
But....Two Big Ten Championships..
Archie didn't.. And Woodson won't sniff that..

I agree . He took our program from the garbage heep back to respectability. Was he he great coach , no, but at least we were a very competitive team . He was definitely an offensive minded coach . What I could never figure out was why he didn’t hire an assistant who was a defensive guy , and turn the defense over to him . If he would have done that we could have been a very successful team.

Not sure it’s conditioning or not but Ballo, MR and MM are not very fleet of foot. That’s for sure

I have never really understood a word Crean says. "Fast hands" and "power feet"...WTF

I mean honestly, I get both. quick hands for steal, blocks, etc. Power feet meaning being able to hold your position and not get banged out of your defensive spot.

Well I'm an older guy. So I would've talked about stance and positioning...but that my be the way the kids talk ball today. :)

Do they still teach blocking out?
