Not nonsense or else they wouldn’t have it. Proving a causal relationship is extremely difficult. Your child get the MMR vaccine and a few days later they have an aneurism. It’s hard to prove causation, could be any number of things.
That deflection works on the naive like yourself, but not with reasonable people.
For someone with unlimited faith in the Federal government, I find it odd, yet convenient, that vaers is where you draw the line.

Eliminated in the US but not around the world and they bring it in. Didn’t matter much when most everyone was vaccinated, but matters as the vax rate drops and when unvaccinated groups are exposed.
We let tourists in. We need more too. We’re getting fewer tourists currently.
According to the CDC there have been 1001 cases of measles and 3 deaths in 2025. At this point it amounts to a non issue.
So how do you propose compliance?
So…we wouldn’t let athletes in that weren’t vaccinated for Covid but we let tourists in that aren’t vaccinated for measles?
COVID vaccinations are no longer required by most countries for foreign visitors. Why do think that is?

Now that we’ve figured out why there was an outbreak of measles we can go about our day knowing a certain subset of the population didn’t cause the issue.

You said measles was eliminated in the country. Yet…we had positive cases. I asked why. You said it wasn’t a leaky border but brought in by tourists. You want more tourists. I asked if they were required to be vaccinated. You didn’t answer. Who were you originally blaming for a measles outbreak that you said had been eliminated from the country?
The answer is obvious, more being unvaccinated. Unvaccinated have come into the country forever, but if nearly everyone is vaccinated here, there is no outbreak and no kids dying from measles. If more people are unvaccinated here, more exposures will continue here, and more cases will occur and more kids will die. Get the kids vaccinated to decrease the spread, and the risk unvaccinated kids die.
