With current landscape of Portal and NiL it is interesting who the top 10 teams are.
Houston, Purdue, Tennessee, UConn, Arizona, Iowa st, UNC, Duke and Creighton.

Coaching and veteran rosters are what stands out the most of who is in the top 10. Houston, PU, Creighton are “small market” teams compared to others in top 10

Thoughts?

Houston is the 4th biggest city in the country.

guess I haven't been paying enough attention....just noticed that Kansas is 9-7 in the Big 12 and in. 5th place. Wow, think everyone was expecting more out of the investment.

Iowa st got them a great coach. It isn’t an easy place to recruit but they play hard and are very fundamentally sound.
LOL.

Otzelberger had a LOSING record at UNLV and won at South Dakota State after inheriting a player who is top 10 all time in career scoring. You would have absolutely lost your mind if IU hired TJ Otzelberger back in 2021. In fact you didn't even know who he was.

You are a LOSER.

What are you blabbering about? The guy took over ISU after a 2-22 season and went to the sweet 16 the following year. Then made tourney again the following year and now has them in the top 10. Get a life dude, I can compliment a guy that is doing a great job.

What could Depaul be with NIL Seyton? Btw I want to see Indiana vs Depaul on a 4 year contract.

Bankers Life, UC, @ AH, @ Depaul

With the right coach they could be decent. Their NIL is being upped significantly ahead of the impending new hire, but it was far behind anybody in the Big East. The previous administrations were just so horrible that the program is completely dilapidated.

Sound familiar?

I have alumni say this to me.
What's Bloomington Indiana have to offer ? It's not a sexy destination...On top of being cold all winter..
We can't even use old great history now.
Because kids today don't give a shit ..And it's been 30 yrs or more since Indiana was a real powerhouse...
So getting big time recruits here isn't easy..Without bags of cash..
Or a young personal coach 🤔

Idk. Lawrence, Durham, and Storrs are meh. So is Auburn. Bloomington is pretty good to great, and the bball players are treated very well.

I disagree with this sentiment, a lot of the basketball powerhouses have cold winters. I would argue Indiana has more advantages because of the in state talent. Just need a coach now to land it.
