Coach Cig’s Water Cooler Tailgate: Gotta Light?

Shane Lechler was pretty damn good.

@mcmurtry66 the only way you were a weapon is if you were Pat Mcafee and hit sticked a bunch of guys after they tried to return your bombs.
One of my favorite things was Mcafee tweeting out the next day after that big hit about a note from the NFL for a "random" drug test.

Chalked it up to the aftermath pall of the funeral.
Well that took a turn.

Winning x 2
or 3

or 4

or......who'm I kidding. I'm almost 50 and she's already over.

Oh yes, was on a Sam Adams kick several years ago.

A waitress caught me by surprise while chatting with folks at a bar after a funeral. Without thinking ordered a John Adams.

She replied, " We don't have John Adams".

To wit I said, "Suppose you don't have John Hancock beer either".

Said this to amuse the people with whom I was exchanging in idle chatter. They were not amused. Chalked it up to the aftermath pall of the funeral.

Haven't had a John Adams since, or is it John Hancock?
But was she amused? I don't know if I'm buying that this was intended to amuse the funeral crowd. 🤣 I bet the ladies never had a chance at resisting a young hoot.

Having a White People nacho/quesadilla/taco/carnitas spread with about 4 lbs of chunk pork , 2 lbs of chicken thigh and 3 lbs of chunk beef chuck roast. 3 Different types of cheese (shredded off the block, not that prebagged shite), multiple sauces/salsas, veggies etc. Hard shells, soft corn and flour tortillas, multiple chip types/styles. Got the sandwich presses out for those who want to toast their creations, will have the broiler going for those who want to do their nachos in the oven. As for booze it's a BYOB scenario (I got mine, but I am cooking and serving the food and desserts so other than basic soda and MGD, they are on their own).

Checked into Union✔️
Bought a CFP hoodie ✔️
Heading to Upstairs ✔️
Not sure what I’m drinking, probably Titos
Too nervous to eat.
Sounds like you have a good night in front of you.

Eat something! Sorry to sound like your mom, but it’s gonna be a long night, especially if Titos is in the mix. Lay down a strong base that you can build on.

That was me preaching to the girls every party. I’ll try to get a little protein down

Well, I assumed that much. Any decent restaurants or places to stay - other than the reliable Knights Inn motel?
They have a Culver's now.

If you travel east on 30 there is a Mexican joint in a shopping center next to the mini truck stop at county line road (first light after you pass the huge Steel Dynamics plant). It's okay.

Folks from South Bend probably say the same thing about Bloomington.

Neither town offers the restaurants and hotels of say Chicago.

Yes, JDB, there are people who think Chicago is special :).

Remember living in South Bend and spending weekends in Chicago which was only a couple of hours away on the Chicago and South Bend Railway.

I’ll be home with my wife and kid. Both aren’t into sports, so it’ll just be me in front of the TV with Upland’s GameDay Lager - decided to go with what is served in Memorial Stadium and has low ABV, so I won’t over drink. Might take a nip of Hard Truth rye, especially if the Hoosiers can find a way to win.

Bloomington offers a decent variety and quality of dining. Not Chicago but good for a college town. My NYC parents all had fav places.

Sounds Great!@

Sending good vibes to Hoosier Nation from Cali. I had to work today, so instead of trying to fight through traffic to get home for the game, I’m going into the local BJ’s.

I hate their beer, so I’ll bring in my Pliny’s and give them to the bar manager. She pours my Pliny on the down low and charges my tab for one of their beers. Win-win except I pay for 2 beers, for every one I drink. It’s worth it, though. I’ll have theirs wings with Nashville rub. They’re great.

I hope to have the bar singing the Hoosier fight song at halftime!😎
