CLOSE THE BORDER NOW YOU STUPID PROGRESSIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND DEPORT EVERY ONE OF THEM WHEN YOU WIN TRUMP

I have 3 daughters, the youngest being 10.

I'm outraged by any kid being abused or killed, yet the media is only pulling stories about illegals.

Why wasn't anyone up in arms about these:

You know why people aren’t up in arms... because they aren't going to bring in votes.

Any violence towards children should be looked down on and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Outrage shouldn't just be for immigrants, but for all offenders.

All of this is true. Every one of these cases both deserve and get our outrage. But what is also true is that of the three cases you posted, the one the OP posted and the cases others posted is that crimes committed by people who shouldn't even be here were the crimes that were easiest to prevent. You say it's for votes and this is true, but conversely weren't the lax border and immigration policies the past 3 years running also about votes?

Sure, everything political is about votes.

My whole point is why are we more upset over one crime where a kid gets hurt or killed while there is not nearly the same outrage when an American does the same thing to a kid.

Both are reprehensible and should be looked at with the same anger. Kids are hurt in either scenario, so if we're being real here, there should be as much outrage over an American killing a kid as there is an immigrant.

I think the anger and outrage towards the act in general is the same in all instances where an innocent is lost to violence. That outrage being exacerbated when specific acts are committed by those who shouldn't have been in this country in the first place, committed by a negligent parent with an open DSC/CPS case, domestic violence by a repeat offending spouse, or acts by a recently released criminal suspect or violent offender is a natural reaction to what is viewed by many as failures within our systems (political, criminal justice, mental health, social services etc).

They are (and I believe rightly so) viewed as acts that could have otherwise been prevented if not FOR our leaders on a local, state and/or federal level playing politics. It's not the act, or really even the bad actor, but the notion that it was ALLOWED to happen by TPTB that creates the additional outrage.

At least in my humble opinion. Hope this helps you understand.

Maybe Biden meant to bring it up when he talked about sisters raping sisters?
Did he try to turn the debate into a porn discussion or was he dreaming about that when his eyes were closed and his mouth wide open.

Heard a report that some crossing the border actually registered to vote.

Looks like the leaflets encouraging restoration worked.

… but voter ID is racist.

People are outraged by that. Had you posted those in the Only Bad Stuff thread, surely people would have reacted.

But we do not and can not read every story about a child murder or neglect because it would destroy us.

But you're right about one thing: we aren't outraged ENOUGH to do much to stop it--and that's on Democrats and Republicans.

Two things that I am pretty sure about:

1) First and foremost, while all cases of child murder and abuse don't get massive attention from the general public, they are very much front of mind and a priority for most police departments. These kinds of cases haunt the officers I've spoken with.

2) Most of the people talking about child murders and abuse committed by immigrants are focused on immigration and not children.

Re (1), I'm not saying police don't try to stop or solve these crimes. I don't blame them at all. Police are the band aid at the end, they can't stop it on their own.

I blame society (whatever the hell that is, I guess) for not becoming more outraged and doing more when we see children neglected, murdered, or slaughtered in their schools. And by "more," I mean come up with, investigate, and make it a primary goal to solve the underlying root causes. Fund DCF for real, fund academic depts, whatever.

It remains one of the things I'm most confused about with our current society.

You could say the same thing about black-on-black crime in inner cities, except we know which Party is in charge in those places.

Exactly. And I hate it. I won't go back. Wife said we should have gone through the drive through, got our stuff, and then gone inside to eat it. 😃

I still use the regular checkout lane at Kroger or wherever. Those cashiers needs jobs too.

Kroger says the former cashiers are now part of what it hopes will be the growing home delivery service.

Does anyone remember the old days when you had bag boys and people who brought milk, eggs, groceries directly to your house and left in on the porch?

The pendulum swings two ways. consistently. As long as we get rid of all progressives.

Like Gilbert Grape...but he ****ed before he left. 😄
And no body realized that the local christian choir leader, CEO of the local lions club, member of the local exchange club, was LOVED by every teenage boy past puberty, because he was running the largest prostitution ring ever, for frustrated house wives.
I mean, could it have been any more obvious?

You often remind me of my youngest daughter. The one living in my Indiana house, with two fatherless kids, eating my food, with no job or future, who hides food in her room, that I paid for (food and room), so that I won't eat it while also paying for diapers for her 6 week old new son.
I had more, but saying all of this pisses me off so much, that I am reminded of you all over again. It's like a huge circle.

I know it’s normally off limits,

Well, Brad, I'm a man of many skills, but posting the post in a thread that didn't exist until four days after making it isn't one of them.

🤣

Illegal just murdered two chic fil a workers. TWO CHIC FIL A WORKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let that sink in lefties. NOTHING is as sacrosanct in this country as chic fil a workers. the only thing that works in this country, and works flawlessly, is chic fil a. the workers are clean. don't smell like weed. run that parking lot line with german precision. Fing with chic fil a should not be a partisan issue. it should be at the very TOP of all that we hold dear and close. I

FIX THE BORDER. NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

MM66, why call progressives stupid if you want to build a coalition. to deal with all the immigration problems which need fixing ?

MM66, think you would agree, attention getting headlines may or might not win elections but final lasting solutions should be built around consensus.
