Charlotte/Indiana Prediction Thread

I think that is probably true, but what is your basis for declaring that ? I was at the Rose Bowl, and we looked really good, but I’m not sold on UCLA. I worry about our depth, we have it in some areas, but not others and my fingers are crossed that we stay healthy. I’m very positive on my outlook, just trying to be realistic at the same time.
Agree, a successful season depends on multifactors going our way. One game at a time. Let's strap it up.

77 - 7
I expect us to run the ball more in the second half as we should be way up.
Hard to keep the next level group from showing off too. Rout.
Go Hoosiers!

Reflection: Not sure I've ever been so confident in a football coach or team at IU.
I'm convinced we won't beat ourselves all the sudden.
I'm also convinced if we get beat, the other guys will have played well.

Agreed. Cig clearly knows what he’s doing. Inexplicable that he didn’t get his first Power HC job until he was in his 60s. That will inure to our benefit, though, because I think we’ll have him until retirement. Hopefully that means age 70+.

IU is better than LSU to at this point as they are ready to score to tie the game. They fumble the ball and pushed it back trying to bring it in so no score, still 24 -17 right now. At the start of the 4th quarter.

Before we go off the deep end with these 40-50 point win predictions, I suggest you take a look at the Charlotte depth chart. This team is littered with transfers , including players from, Indiana ( DE Handy that came here from Auburn) Michigan St, Maryland, Minnesota,Notre Dame, Auburn, Florida, Iowa St, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Miami and Mizzou…..among others. Now granted, most players transfer because they aren’t seeing the field, but they had to have some talent to be at those places in the first place. Their OL and DL both have good size and CCC said their DL is active. Yes, they are on their 3rd QB, but he played some last year and came in last week and went 11/12 ( I believe that is correct) to lead them from behind to win. They lost 38-20 a couple weeks ago to UNC , who beat Minnesota on the road, and were within a TD of the Tar Heels in the 3rd quarter.

All that said, I believe we will win, but something tells me this is not going to be a “cakewalk”
You are absolutely correct. I went back and looked over their entire roster and counted 38 total guys from P4 conferences. I’m talking transfer kids from Michigan, Notre Dame, Auburn, MSU, Minnesota, Miami and a whole host of guys. Our own Handy is on their team. Oh, by the way, he changed his first name to “Stone. His name used to be Jaren.

As a side note, the kid that was gashing us for a period of the game was CJ Stokes, who played 3 years at Michigan. And, I don’t mean rode the bench. He carried the ball and caught passes for them.
