I hope IU wins a lot this season so you disappear from this board. The football board has been very nice this season. No Purdue fan is gonna troll a top 25 team when their own team is a dumpster fire.

I just listed my own Top 50, its on my fridge, equally as legitimate and credible.

You have oregon and ucla too low. Vbg

On paper, the B18 seems to have many average to above-average teams ... and no F4 contender. Granted, it's near-impossible to predict how a season will play out in mid-October, but it doesn't appear to be an impressive group of 18.

Maybe they’ll prove me wrong, but I don’t understand the love for Michigan. I think Illinois and MSU have better potential for this season.

Their roster construction was pretty good, they have two good 7' that can score, good guards and a lot of shooters, is May a good coach, I think so! Look at IU, Robbie Hummel said last week, he likes IU's talent, but like last year he questions their roster makeup. No backup for center, very little outside shooting, and the shooters they have are very weak on the defensive side of the ball. Is Rice a true pg, most believe he is more of a combo. And then there is Woody! Will the weak non-conference help or hurt? Michigan is my Dark Horse to win the conference.

Cue the principal from Billy Madison saying everything you just wrote was awful and we're dumber for reading it.

I shouldn't even respond, but I'm bored...

We have as much depth at center as Purdue does. We have TWO All Big Ten level bigs, for one, that won't always play at the same time. If they each were to average, say 28 minutes a game, and play 18 of those minutes together. The 40 or so minutes of playing time for the center position would get 28 minutes of Ballo, and 10 minutes of Reneau. Hatton can cover the 2 extra minutes. Or we can play smaller with guys like Tucker, Goode, and Mgbako. We're fine.

Mgbako is a better outside shooter than anyone on Purdue's roster. So there's that. Galloway shot nearly 50% from three the last time he played a whole season off the ball. He'll be fine. Both Rice and Carlyle had a pretty decent catch and shoot percentage. They'll be fine. Cupps was a near 40% 3P guy on catch and shoot. Goode is a proven shooter. Reneau even showed he could knock down outside shots as the year wore on last year. I'm not saying we're going to become the Golden State Warriors. But our perimeter shooting shouldn't be nearly as big of an achilles heel as it was last year.

I would say the only designated "shooter" we have, that will play much at all, is Goode. And he isn't bad defensively, at all. Comparatively to your designated shooter, Loyer, he's like a mix between Gary Payton and Dennis Rodman, defensively.

Rice won Pac12 Freshman of the Year, and took Wazzu to the NCAA tournament. He's a VERY good point guard and leader.

Woody...he was 3-1 against Purdouche when he had rosters similar to this years with more balance inside and out.

Non Conference is fine. Atlantis will be a great prep for NCAA's. Louisville, then potentially Gonzaga and Arizona. South Carolina was an NCAA tournament team last year, that's a solid game. Only thing lacking is a tough true road game. But its not uncommon for good teams to not have that before conference season.

In short...refer to my first sentence. We're all dumber for reading your posts.

Michigan has worse guards and is going to play with two bigs who can't play away from the basket that are worse than Ballo/Reneau.

"I shouldn't even respond, but I'm bored". Translation- I need to be on this board because I really haven't much to do today or this week for that matter. Purdouche? Really? Pretty clever, well not at all. Guessing your a retiree(or live in extreme solitude) and really missing the good ole days when Indiana was relevant. Checkered plaid sport coat don when watching games or again, that pretty red sweater tucked above expanding waistline? It's been wonderful watching you old dinosaurs wallow in basketball while the school up north does it the right way always. Have a wonderful unspectacular season(again) and you and couple of your buddies here enjoy yourself at comic-con. I know that's been a big event for many here.

Going 8 deep, we are an elite roster. Versatility is only as good as the schemes that are implemented. I have to believe that Woody will utilize his wealth of basketball experience to properly utilize the elite versatility.

I like Michigans guards, Tre Donaldson is rated #75 best player in the country, pretty good. Rubin Jones is rated the #226 player in the country, both guys can shoot, add in Rodney Gayle rated at #440 and that is a pretty good back court. Ratings are by Evan Myia and are based on players play. Indiana guards are rated: Gallaway #292, Rice #387, Carlyle #1171 and Cupps at #2552! IU guards are not know for their shooting, some good scorers but lacking the 3 pt% with Cupps best at 35%. Michigans Goldin is rated the #87 player in the country and has played in a final four! Dan Wolf is rated 686 and was a very productive 7' at Yale! Ballo is the highest rated Hoosier at 44 and is not a threat from more than 3' feet out, good rebounder. Malek Reaneu is rated 416 is good around the basket, not a very good rebounder and is foul prone. Hatton is rated #2406 and James is HIGH! Reanue is your 3rd best 3% shooter at 33%. Looking at these numbers, I think Michigan is better at the guard spot and IU is slightly better at the bigs. It will be interesting to see what May can do. We know about Woody!

Mgbako is a better outside shooter than anyone on Purdue's roster. So there's that.
Purdue currently has 5 centers and their Bigs have actual final four experience and should have a couple guys All Big Ten level.
Can Ballo play more than 25 minutes a game, can Reneau stay out foul trouble and rebound more than 6 a game. Braden Smith averages 5.8 and he is only 6'. I still say IU has front court issues!
Mgbako is currently your fourth best outside shooter shooting at 32.7%. Reneau is at 33.3%, Cupps at 35% and Goode at 38.7% Purdue currently has four players shooting over 40% led by Loyer at 44%. So no Mgbako is not better, he's not even better than half his own team! You start to compare stats then you can see the big difference. You also have to consider that IU was playing one oof the weakest schedules in the BT. Purdue on the other hand posted those results playing one the toughest, a Maui field that was said to one of the best ever, neutral floor wins against Alabama and at the time #1 Arizonia. Purdue also ran away with the BT two years in a row. A lot of people are picking Purdue to 3-peat, they might they might not. But if I was in IUs shoes I would temper your all world expectations and maybe show some people you're going to at least be competitive. On paper IU looks good, but??? I have no comment on your mental condition. People usually diss others when they are loose with FACTS!

A single IUNorth post has more basketball knowledge in it than you and blimpy's entire post history combined.

The fact that you resorted to a personal attack just shows that you lost whatever argument you were hoping to make.
