I have noticed truck drivers become very opinionated these last few years. Not surprising, since they are working class who sit and listen to the radio all day. Rule of thumb when talking to truck drivers....stick to the weather.....always stick to the weather
Also, their jobs are next on the automation chopping block. I'd feel threatened too.

Who are these "truckers" protesting against vaccine mandates that Canadians by and large support? With 80% of Canadians vaccinated and 90% of truckers also vaxed, which truckers do these folks represent?
And why aren't they protesting and advocating for worker's rights that seek to improve working conditions for all Canadian truckers, rather than the fringe minority opposed to the vaccine? Some sites are reporting that the impetus for the blockade is coming from owners of trucking companies, which would certainly explain why there is no focus on actual worker's rights...
Not to mention the "rights" of the citizens of Ottawa. Interesting development with this lawsuit filed this week seeking 9.8 Million in (Canadian) Dollars against the organizers. Imagine as this case goes to court and more digging occurs, some questions will begin to emerge.

I just wonder if some people in the States realize what cause they are contributing money to? Many people have reported lots of swastikas and Nazi paraphanlia, as well as Confederate flags nestled among the protestors. There's a certain "Charlottesville" vibe emanating from some of these "freedom fighters", including reports of violence and harassment directed towards locals.
The whispers of white supremacy are getting louder, which some of the protestors are pushing back against. Problem is when Patrick King is one of your main organizers and visible spokesmen, it's pretty hard to disassociate your movement from his blatant racism...He isn't hiding it...

Well, the one trucker in the video clip is hard to defend. He is only one guy though.
They absolutely are, can’t get parts. Toyota has cut production this week because of it.
They cut our overtime yesterday and today. We were scheduled to work tomorrow, but now that’s up in the air, because they can’t get parts.
They literally told us it’s because of the situation at the Canadian border. They’re trying to fly parts in but that’s really not feasible.
It sucks because we are incredibly far behind already, to the point where we’re working every other Saturday for the rest of the year.

Yeah, I’m pretty decidedly anti vax mandate, but this is the wrong way to protest it. They’re messing with peoples livelihoods.
But yet BLM could shut down entier highways in Minneapolis and nobody said a work. The hypocracy is just mind blowing but not surprising I guess given the amount of libs on this board. I am not saying what they are doing is right but the same people trashing it were totally cool with BLM doing whatever the heck it wanted regarding shutting down roads, etc.

90 percent of truckers vaccinated in Canada. Neither the CTA or Canada Teamsters support this. I won't pretend this is all white nationalist, but if you think this is about average Truckers you are naive.
