I may be missing some Ulrey history, but his comment seemed to be more inline, satirically, with the story line over the last 2 years .
Angel was the WNBA goddess while Kaitlin was snubbed. (maybe because she was a white girl, but that's not the point).
Didn't Angel get some (possible) DEI accolades last year while Kaitlin owned her in nearly ever category? Then, there a ton of video's about Kaitlin punking THE Angle a couple weeks ago in a game.
It's only standard reporting procedure and "law" now, when caught in a Projected/ Planned winner, that they about face and say "Oh, in other news that black chick did................" It was a Kaitlin level Angel punking, Babylon Bee style.
But maybe he ruined one of Y'alls Turkish bath one time? I don't know.
Agreed. Jealous is a bitch! The WNBA can't get out of it's own way on this stuff. A chance to move the needle and all they're doing is fighting about dumb shit like this.
My favorite one is demanding more money while losing like $400m/year. They're lucky they don't make them write a refund check at the end of the season.Agreed. Jealous is a bitch!
My reading of Clark is that she is a team player and more interested in winning a championship than a MVP.
If she does win a MVP it will be include leading In assists with the possibility a fellow team player or two may actually having higher points per game.
The one important thing you learn in playing sports is color doesn't matter.
Willdog is not an athlete. With fans too. I see rural fans all the time that are racist as hell but LOVE the black players at State U. You see in the Water Cooler here. They say every nasty thing they can think of about any black person the can but will defend the black athlete on “their” team to the death. Same with Rupps Rafters.
Clark wasn't snubbed. She was the most popular female player in college her senior year.I may be missing some Ulrey history, but his comment seemed to be more inline, satirically, with the story line over the last 2 years .

?? How does that relate in anyway to the new (cough choreographed cough ) building rivalry between her and "that black girl" (snicker) in the WNBA? I'm not tracking what College means to any of this.Clark wasn't snubbed. She was the most popular female player in college her senior year.
See, Bobby Knight was right again, while recruiting THE #11!With fans too. I see rural fans all the time that are racist as hell but LOVE the black players at State U. Fvckin wonderful rebounder !
Once again, I have no idea what the heck you're talking about. My comment was to a poster that said, "what about the black women." Then to a poster that claimed Clark was snubbed in college which is absolutely false considering Clark was the most popular player in women's college basketball and the attendance at her games and the ratings for Iowa games confirmed that. Your post does not logically follow any of the conversation.?? How does that relate in anyway to the new (cough choreographed cough ) building rivalry between her and "that black girl" (snicker) in the WNBA? I'm not tracking what College means to any of this.
Angel was never the NBA goddess and Caitlin may have been snubbed at the Olympics but she certainly wasn’t in the league. Some of the older players tried to say that Caitlin were going to have a learning curve in the league and downplayed her talent but I don’t think anyone thought Angel was going to be better. I know at some point people tried to make it seem like it was a two person race for Rookie of the Year, but voting wasn’t close.I may be missing some Ulrey history, but his comment seemed to be more inline, satirically, with the story line over the last 2 years .

Most people who you call racist are talking against black culture. They can make the difference between culture and individuals.
My wife's grandmother was one you and I would both call racist, being from Tennessee and growing up there most of the first half of the century. But she loved the Pacers and knew more than I did about the NBA. She identified with the individual players. I know many older women who are really into the NBA and it always kind of amuses me. They're not what I would call the NBA target market.
I must have overlooked that post, about college. My use of snubbed (in the league) was probably to aggressive of a word. I felt like there were many that was pumping Angel and maybe a few others much more than KC. And thought that it was semi race related. Then to a poster that claimed Clark was snubbed in college
Using racism is a crutch for a loser!I’m not saying Ulrey’s post, taken in isolation, was racist on its face.
It’s going to be ok, I promise.. but Caitlin needs to check her white privilege.I’m not saying Ulrey’s post, taken in isolation, was racist on its face.
You need to work on that protest chant. Too wordy at the end.I am white. I am right and I never started watching the WNBA till Caitlin was in the league!

It’s almost as if you have no rhythm. Oh, wait…never mind.
Clark won Rookie of the Year over Reese by a large margin. If someone is trying to snub her, they're doing a poor job of it.I must have overlooked that post, about college. I still don't watch the WNBA. I do watch, and appreciate, IU womens' basketball.I am white. I am right and I never started watching the WNBA till Caitlin was in the league!
I’m white, I’m right, only Caitlin caught my sight.

Sounds like my Aunt Marge. Kentucky gal who followed the NBA in the 60s more than anyone in the family.
