Our family has had season tickets since 1969 and we always make the Bucket game either in Bloomington or West Laffy ..
The bummer was my nephew (brother's son) had state title game -- same day as Bucket Game --- needless to say we went to watch Peter and his Fort Wayne Cadets go for their first state title --- Amazing day -- we watched IU keep the Bucket and Peter set all classes record of 6 TD passes -- He finished year with 50 TD passes and 4 interceptions --- plus he had most passing yardage in Class 3A and longest touchdown pass of 70 yards ..
Tough to watch Bucket game that is in Bloomington on TV - but watching state final to see your nephew win and set passing records was awesome.
Ranks up there along with best football day like being there for IU's win against OSU and UM in 87 and plus 88 Bucket game at Ross Ade 52-7 win.
