Bryce Kirtz to Northwestern

I thought the In-State WRs were lining up on their knees to play for Bill Belichick Jr up in West Laugheyette?

I have the feeling he is going where Hunter Johnson will end up going. I hope I’m wrong.

Not surprised. Maybe the kid likes wearing purple.

Duke was also high on his list, which tells you that the kid wanted an elite academic environment. No knock on Purdue or IU but when you come out at age 22 with a degree from Northwestern or Duke or Stanford, that carries a lot of weight. No offense to IU or Purdue, both fine institutions but it’s like another level when you have a Northwestern degree to your name.

Years ago I was with a group of kids and their parents being addressed by Fitz. He is an amazing motivator. I know he sells the heck out of an NU education to kids and their families. Would be hard to say no to him.

He'd actually have up to 3 seasons with Hunter, but who's counting.

100% agree that NU academically is fairly cream of the crop in B10, which doesn't mean others are bad, but like Duke, Vanderbilt, they are seen as higher elite reputation in business world. (Stanford is basically Ivy League)

Per Hunter, I don't think he's shared yet he's NU bound nor do I think Kirtz, who can think for himself, decided based on that. We'll see where chips fall.

I meant previously. They only played one year together at Brownsburg? Maybe things are different with these kids today and I am wrong, but I would be shocked if he is basing his decision on following a mid grade 3 star recruit.

Ah yes, agree their one season in HS now lowly has very little impact on his own decision to go to NU I agree.

I’d never criticize anyone for going to NU. Wish him well. (And hope we can still get David Bell from Warren Central!)

Think Hunter sweepstakes still wide open too.
