I'm tired of the tape on IU's helmets falling off the logo or flopping around the stripes. Get stickers like every other team.

Obviously they were not tested in cold weather. I think it's an Adidas thing. I saw the same in the Washington - Oregon game the other night on tape and it wasn't nearly as cold in Eugene as it was in Bloomington. Not sure what you mean by stickers.
Washington has Adidas uniforms.

adidas doesn't make helmets or helmet decals
Pretty sure our helmets aren’t adidas. They are ridell. Ridell and schutte are the main helmet makers
Oh and most helmets are done in house or contracted. Hydrodipping is getting popular. My cousin does the Olympic team Oakley stuff.
I wasn't thinking when I made the Adidas Uniform comment. I even have Ridell and Schutte helmets sitting on my shelf ... bad morning.
I'm ok with removing the tape and just leaving the logos. The main thing I've loved about IU uniforms/helmets this year is they haven't played stupid games with them. No more clownish chrome stripes, no more white helmets with state outlines, no all red uniforms. Just stick with whatever the primary look is. Build the brand!
My favorite helmet was the white one with the torch & stars emblem. I thought it was a great one-off helmet. Also the script Indiana.
I also liked the 80s/90s throwback uniform with the mesh jersey look & Mallory-era Block I.
I was a fan of the blackout combo last year, but after a 4OT win over Akron, that's probably shelved, lest it become our Kelly Green.
I loathe the chrome & the red on red.
For what it's worth, I also liked the Purdue look this weekend.
Generally speaking, I prefer the traditional uniform scheme/combo. Nothing wrong with doing something special here & there.

I've wondered if its the type of paint on the helmets. That brushed metal look is sharp, IMO, but it does seem to lend itself to the decals coming off in colder weather.
I miss the state flag on one side of the helmet. That was a cool change of pace. The Chrome Candies were a product of their time. I appreciate the attempt, but they felt too UM adjacent.

Next year is the 80th anniversary of the 1945 team going 9-0-1. Would be cool to do some type of throwback uniform to honor that team.
Might be similar to Illinois' Red Grange uni's this year.

I also wouldn’t mind if the university did something cool with uniform numbers, kind of like Michigan did for a time or like the cowboys do with the #88. Like 44 for Taliaferro, 32 for AT, & 11 for Randle El are reserved for selected players each year (if at all) that the coaches believe have earned the right to wear them for the season.
Tom Allen did that with Taliaferro's number, at least the last two years if I remember correctly.
He may have but at that time I don't think it was to honor Taliaferro.
