broilees bringing in another frankenplayer...

They blindly thumbed their noses at it. First real need that popped up and they fumbled it.
They went all in on Pack and now have no alternatives. Best case scenario for them would be getting Eric Hunter back, but that still makes their backcourt laughably bad

After his speeches about Hass and the PG that couldn't shoot a lick (name escapes me) leaving and Purdue not wanting guys who didn't want to be there, how does Pork Chop go back to Hunter and beg successfully?

Yea I agree. If I’m Hunter I get out of there. He was told there was no spot because it was going to Pack.

Again, not even close to being true... like 100% opposite of the truth. I get this is a free board and most written here is from a outside perspective. There was never a Pack or Hunter thing... never. Hell, Nigel is still at KSU if Bruce doesn't get moved. Eric had the ability to stick around but chose to keep his options open and Matt moved on. That decision by Eric was made in the fall.

Here's a little inside perspective that I didn't post on the G&B pay site due to it coming from personal sources but enough has past to share. Eric had no desire to come back... no desire to play college basketball for a 5th year. He was and still is all in on moving to his next step in life. He put his name in the portal to increase his options. Making numbers up as an example, if he can get $75k to play at school X or $75k to play in Europe, what is the better option? Possibly now, the best option would be to come back to Purdue, if he would want to. All seniors had the option to stay, with the caveat that they announce their intentions by a certain date AND stick to the commitment. All wanted to move on. Heck, in the case of Sasha, he told Purdue he was leaving last season... during the covid season.

Lol look how dumb you sound… go check out your Thursday edition of BoilingOver. This is what your boy Brian stated.

“As we've told you all along here, while Eric Hunter might be interested in returning for another year to Purdue, this is going to be a one-or-the-other sort of thing. (BN)”

I read Boiling Over ...And he is correct... you didn't read what I wrote. He was never coming back... he stated he never wanted to play a 5th year. All seniors were offered a chance to come back but all chose to move on. Matt had to recruit and needed to know the scholarship availability. This is a new development based on there being a spot open and possibly he having a change in heart. I can assure you, I'm well versed on the behind the scenes with this matter.

I can assure you that we don’t care if Hunter comes back or not. He’s trash.

Purdue alums screwed this up. They missed a good(not great) opportunity to get ahead of this thing. This proves they only care about B1G wins and rivals. Not championships. If they did then a collective would’ve been in place.

They are going to struggle to win B1G games if they don’t start their NIL game. Drew Brees would be the perfect face of their collective.

This is more open market than professional sports. Is that what you want?
Is that the concern, what I want? Not what's best for the kids involved? I would rather they stayed for 12-15 years. But what has that got to do with the equation?
