7'1 Will "Ice" Berg from Sweden. Plus, IceBerg's dad is heading to that hellhole of west lafayette with him. porkchop is intent on continuing that thug ball up there... but it always backfires to a team like North Texas or the Peacocks. broilees have the most losses to a lower seed in The Dance, 17, than any other team. Tradition!

He’s not like the bigs of Purdue past. He’s lumbering and can’t jump.

He's a shooter... will be more of a pick and pop guy. I'd be shocked if he didn't redshirt... minutes will be tough to get.

check out the video. Not one pick and pop, but a lot of layups, putbacks. porkchop called him a pick and pop shooter.....Where did you see a video showing an outside game?

I wish him the best. Gotta be tough to move so far away. I know he's a Boilermaker and I want them to lose, but I am not so course to ignore he is a young man moving thousands of miles away. Glad he father is with him.

Did your mother leave you a tray with warm oatmeal at the top of their basement steps this morning?

Good point. If I were the player I wonder if at18 I would want dad or try it alone?
I might have wanted it alone. At 18 I would have been looking forward to the gym, the court, and girls. Dad maybe in the way

"You really think?", he thought with a heavy hint of sarcasm. Dad may be in the way, but he's getting paid...NIL money, baby! I hope his wife isn't allergic to humming latex. She just might be hearing a happy tune and it ain't you she's thinking about. It seldom works that way. We all know 'dat!

No. But if she did, do you have a problem with that? It'd be a long drive to get them but it'd be worth it. And i am not sure where you are going with your question. Were you trying to insult me?

Good one! How about Matt ten Dam, their 7'-2" 285 lb Dutchman?
His most productive year was his Freshman one. He played in 9 games, averaging 1.8 min/game, .02 pts/game hitting at a .333 % clip, no FT's or blocks. He scored a total of 17 pts during a career that lasted 62 minutes over a span of 32 games. He put is name into the NBA draft after his Junior year. He went undrafted.

A copy and paste from the net, just to give you a better idea of this no-hit wonder...

The life of ten Dam is like one out of Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. Born in Aimelo, Holland, ten Dam played high school basketball at Northfield High. Gene Keady brought him in to be a space-eating center on Glenn Robinson's great 1994 team, but he never saw the floor until the 1995 season. His exploits on campus, however, were legendary: Among them, according to former roommate and fellow Kokomoan Matt McHale:

He was more man-monster than man
He was wearing nothing but a pair of bikini-brief underwear on move-in day.
He had the epic pick up line, "Baby, you are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen."
He was a connoisseur of Heineken
He disguised his athleticism by bricking dunks in practice.
His game was once described as "trying to watch an elephant ice skate uphill"
He is, of course, listed on TallHotGuys.com

Whenever you need a little comedy, just tune into a video of a big, lumbering white guy from the Alps while rap music plays as the soundtrack.

This means absolutely nothing. The kids he was playing against looked like they were 12 years old. He struggled some on even getting rebounds. He was a fott or more taller than everyone on the other team. I didn't see an outside shot. Talk about betting on development!
It’s going to be interesting.
