Obviously stars don't mean everything. I think what commit-able offers a recruit has is more telling (and we don't always know which offers are actually still commit-able or legit).
The 4 stars that CTA landed were those that didn't seem to have that great of an offer list. Their offers were often not much different than what you would see on a mid-level 3 star, which is probably where they should have been rated.
This is why it's important to have a coaching staff that trusts their own ratings of recruits rather than rely on the services.
