The onset of winter weather is hereby suspended for 4 weeks, as the NFL cracks down on the behavior of gases in our universe. That’s what they do, if they wish to find the real bad guy.

You know, I actually agree with part of this.

I agree with you that Brady's (actually the player association's) appeal is a sham, because I don't think Brady has any intentions of taking this to court if he loses his appeal.

I also agree with you that I want Brady to take it to court.

If that happens, (1) Brady's telephone(s) and telephone records will all be fair game, (2) telephones and telephone records of at least a few Patriots coaches and players will be fair game, (3) testimony can be obtained from all the Patriots organization including Robert Kraft (do we really think that this matter wasn't discussed by Brady and others?), (4) the testimony of the former Patriots personnel who were "suspended" by the Patriots can also be obtained regardless whether the Patriots and Brady cooperate.

As a Brady-lover, you must be crazy if you really want Brady to take this to court. A court's review of a private organization's internal governing activities is limited. A defamation suit would bring every part of Brady's life under scrutiny. That would be fun for the rest of us if it happens. You and Brady wouldn't like it.

Remember Brady's defense (according to what I read about his appeal presentation) was (1) smile, (2) deflect, (3) refuse to cooperate and (4) say "You didn't catch me."

The things is, at this point it doesn't matter that much. Even if he is not given any time, every sane person knows that Brady is guilty. And every sane person knows that the Patriots cheated. Again. Brady's reputation is forever associated with cheating, as it should be.

I guess Robert Kraft forgot to read tho se reports too....Amazing how all of those people know that the cheatriots didn't cheat yet the teams owner was a big pussy and didn't fight.

Suspension upheld. Tom Brady's failure to cooperate and possible destruction of evidence were deciding factors.

 
As a Steelers fan this is great news. As a football fan this is great news. As a hater of cheaters this is great news. Basically, on any and all levels this is great news. Let Princess Tom file a lawsuit seeking an injunction. Attorneys will make more money. Again, good news.

Can't wait to hear the excuses from Chitter on this one. His boy dug the hole, jump in, and pulled the dirt in on top of himself. This will go a long way of forever tainting his accomplishments. Will be interesting to see if the NFL's new checks and balances of air pressure, keeps him from ever sniffing another title. I'm just wondering how the Patties will ever win consistently again. They can't video or deflate balls. They might actually have to play by the rules.

Don't kid yourself. The Patriots, while epic cheaters, are still formidable. Bilicheck, while an epic cheater, is a great coach. Brady, while an epic cheater, is still a great quarterback. They do more with less than any team in the NFL.

The wording of this is interesting. "Brady directed" that his cell phone was to be destroyed? He didn't do it himself? I guess he wanted to blame someone else for that too. Maybe his dog ate it.

It conveniently allowed him an excuse to not hand the phone over and make it easy for the investigators to extract the data when they met. I didn't hear that they ever recovered his phone data. They probably didn't need to. They could have gotten the text trails he wanted to hide from others he had texted. Unless their phones suddenly were destroyed.
