Somewhat underwhelming (losing seasons in their last year at Army) and never made The Dance. (Yes, Army never has had a stellar program.) Some AD did their due diligence on them, however, and took a chance on these up and coming coaches. Miller has had more success than those two coaches. (Miller has coached under Sendek, Sean Miller, and Matta...all good coaches.)

I'm not expecting RMK or Coach K success, but I think it's funny when some posters complain that CT should still be here since IU cannot hire a coach that has been to the F4 50% of the time during their college career.

Knight was ~31 when he was hired at IU.
Coach was ~34 when he was hired at Duke.

First off, Wisconsin would have had Bobby Knight if they didn't leak to the press they were hiring him. They blew it.

Comparing anyone to an Army coach with their limitations is a bad analogy from the start. It's a miracle that Army even has basketball.

It is no longer the 70s and 80s anymore, Man. Elite schools do not hire coaches out of the ghetto. Coach K and Coach Knight are one out of life time hiring. IU and Duke hit the jackpot. You forgot tons of schools are what they are today because they hired young coaches like that.
