Man I really miss that guy. One in a million.
He was always in the news, keeping us entertained. It’s been 25 years and still counting since we’ve had a coach of such charisma.
It was Tim that was trying to make a buck anyway.
Even if it was RMK so what? The university fired him, what kind of loyalty did he owe them at that point?
We are watching Seal Team and one of the soldiers said,"he is going all Bobby Knight on him".

Yeah he was always in the news, he had a great run in the 70's and 80's, but his last 14 years of coaching was nothing to write home about. Only finished in the Top 25 3 of the last 14 years. Great coach.
Geez, why do some IU “fans” insist on finding the negative to Bob Knight’s coaching career here? So it’s 14 years now? He won a national championship and was voted Coach Of The Year within your timespan of fault finding. If Ted Valentine hadn’t screwed us over in ‘92 we wouldn’t be having your conversation. My point triggering you was that he kept us all engaged throughout his 29 year career. He was entertaining, personality-wise, all the way up to the end. Some coaches are dull even when winning. Think Coach Krzyzewski at Duke. I have a wooden Indian in my living room showing more emotion.
I said his coaching career HERE. He coached here until 2000. IU won a banner in ‘87. According to my subtraction, that is 13 years and within the parameter set forth, 14.
