Maybe. I'd say Reality Bites is probably more regarded in that sense. Or The Breakfast Club. The defining Gen-X movie?
Listening to this really takes me back. IYKYK. The WC Movie Club will be shortlisting this for its inaugural selection:
Maybe instead of a mountain, I’ll move to Europe and live on the train.
My daughter and I randomly watched some kind of wonderful. She liked it.Maybe. I'd say Reality Bites is probably more regarded in that sense. Or The Breakfast Club.
I wouldn't qualify The Breakfast Club as a Gen X movie. Think it has to be released in the 90s.Maybe. I'd say Reality Bites is probably more regarded in that sense. Or The Breakfast Club.
I saw that with my college girlfriend. I had quite the thing for Julie Delpy. To be fair, I'm sure my college girlfriend had a thing for Ethan Hawke too.The defining Gen-X movie?

I think those are 80s right? And @BradStevens i think quintessentially Gen. X movies are better captured with 80s movies. 90s is way different types. Pulp fiction goodfellasSingles, Clerks, and Slacker apply here.
Mid 80’s definitely gen X. If I’m gen X, that is. I was born in 1970 so I think I am?I wouldn't qualify The Breakfast Club as a Gen X movie. Think it has to be released in the 90s.

I watched that not long ago. The hockey dialogue legitimized the movieSwingers just started on FLIX #556.
The opening credit montage is worth a view alone. They way we dressed, the way chicks looked, the way the bars looked. Very sentimental.
America used to be a proper country.
GREAT scene.I watched that not long ago. The hockey dialogue legitimized the movie
lol pga tour golf was our hangover game. It was soothing. EA hockey was our before going out game. Just like swingers. And that Fing roenick skated straight to the goal. Broke the Fing game. I’ll never forget all of us playing in our shitty apt and that exact play happened and I jumped up and screamed BULLSHIT!!!!!!! and accidentally kicked over a spittoon bucket or whatever it was that contained about 9 months of dip spit. Was Fing awful the rest of our time there.GREAT scene.
Our game was PGA Tour golf 95 (I think). ****ing bring chicks home at close, drop by the Chinese place that sold beer out the back door after 2am, get back to the 'stead, and fire up the Sega. $20/game matches drinking (and stuff) til 5 am. 😄
I pretty much like all Richard Linklater movies with Boyhood being my favorite. The defining Gen-X movie?
